If I have to say ONE thing that determines this years spring summer fashion trends; it is Denim. Denim is literally everywhere, there are no magazines without an editorial about jeans, it’s getting more and more popular in home décor, and now it showed up as an unmissable direction in the beauty world too. But how to incorporate denim into your makeup routine? Let me show you some inspiration from the world of denim blue makeup and nails!

The main thing about denim is it’s texture, but since we cannot work with that when it comes to beauty we have to focus on it’s iconic colour. Denim can be dark blue or washed out but it’s colour is “everblue” so you cannot go wrong with it.

On the SS2016 catwalks we saw plenty of blue eye makeup – I previously talked about it in my article about the biggest spring summer Beauty Trends – so having a blue eyeshadow seems like the perfect investment for the next season. Opt for matte versions, and choose a shade that suits well with your personal features (light hair/light eyes should wear lighter and brighter shades and dark hair/dark eyes ladies should opt for a deeper, darker colour).

Having denim blue nails also an absolute hit this spring, and almost every brand carries a shade that matches this trend, so you just have to find your own preferences. If I can give you one advice, choose from brands that are using a 5-free formula, so you make a healthier beauty choice.

Jeans coloured lips? Kylie Jenner really knows how to wear them, but I leave it only to the brave ones. Anyways it’s good to know that both MAC and Anastasia Beverly Hills carries incredible denim lip shades so if you are that “wild” go for it!
