Happy Monday! I’ve Arranged my schedule so that I have a two weeks off before I go back work this the summer. I think I deserve a solid amount of time to decompress before jumping back into non-stop action. Kristopher and I got started a Couple Weeks ago up at Robert’s Park in the Oakland Hills. We set out a little blanket under the redwoods and laid there for about five hours before taking these photos. It was a perfect way to finish the semester!
I kept the outfit simple because I didn’t want to compete with my surroundings (for once). You could even say I was going for a minimalist look: a Thrifted burnt orange silk blouse paired with a black silk Ralph Lauren skirt that my mom bought for me when I was in the ninth grade. That’s it! I wore cream ankle socks to protect my feet. Earrings were thrifted. Haircut made possible by Hector Estrada Salon.
I’ll have a final recap of my first year of fashion school up in a Couple weeks. I’ve been thinking lots about my future in the industry now that I’ve finished one full year of school and I’m 110% certain this is a path I can follow for a long time. I’ve been mind-mapping every possible thing I can do to get the ball rolling this summer. First on the agenda: a weeklong trip to Paris (with a one-day side trip to London)! I’ll be there for the entirety of Haute Couture Fashion Week (circling outside the events, of course; I don’t have the pull to actually get in). Maybe I can get pictures of my favorite street style to share with you!
