Bedside Table Essentials

When we spend, on average, 8 hours out of every 24 in bed, it is pretty important to have some essentials within arms reach. I have a couple of things that I wouldn't be able to be without - I always have to keep them close by during an evening.

01: One thing I can't be without on my Bedside Table is some lip balm and my absolute, holy grail lip balm has to be the Lush Honey Trap lip balm. I have been using this for years and will never change, I absolutely love it. A little tin lasts me for ages, loads longer than a usual lip balm. The formula is thick and creamy and smells amazing - this is definitely a product I'll be repurchasing again and again, not just for my bedside table, but also for my desk at work!

02: I love writing in my One Line A Day book. I've been writing in it now for around a year and I love writing about the day and looking back on what I wrote last year. I can't believe how much I've changed. It is funny when I find I wrote something that means nothing to me now, it is so strange what used to seem important to me a year ago.

03: The Lumie Bodyclock Alarm has definitely changed my life. This is something that I had on my Amazon wishlist for ages, but I hadn't ever plucked up the courage to just buy it. Although it was expensive for an alarm clock, it has definitely made such a difference to my morning routine. The light gradually comes on for half an hour before the audible alarm comes on. Most mornings, I wake up before my alarm because of the light. It wakes me up really gradually and I always feel super refreshed in the morning. I rarely have the urge to roll back over and snooze so it makes me feel way more awake in the morning.

04: I really struggle to settle down before sleeping and something that really helps is the Avon Sleeptherapy Spray. I have around 3 bottles of this as I'm terrified about running out. I always spray this before bed and I have started to associate the scent with sleeping, which means I always feel like I settle down much quicker when I spray this.

05: A book is a definite essential for my bedside table. My nighttime routine consists of taking my make-up off, settling down with a book, spraying some Sleeptherapy and getting tucked up in bed. Currently, I've been reading and loving After The Crash by Michael Bussi. As soon as I've finished one book, I have another one ready to go and I'm always excited to spend some time reading.
