I Love roses. I love the sent, and I love the color Rose. Today I'm sharing two gorgeous rose products in my makeup collection: Smith's Rosebud Salve, and Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in number 29, Opera Rose.
I was at Sephora recently trying to choose how to spend a gift card I received for Christmas. The YSL lipsticks caught my eye both for the drop dead gorgeous packaging, and the stunning color options. I swatched a few, and fell in love with #29, Opera Rose. The name reminds me of The Phantom of the Opera, and the lipstick itself is a perfect rosey pink color. The formula is creamy and beautiful.
Smith's Rosebud Salve is an old favorite. This well loved tin lives by my bed. The salve is a multi-purpose hydrating product. I use it as both a lip balm and cuticle cream. The sent is just heavenly as well. I put some on just before I go to sleep, and feel like I'm in a rose garden. Also, the old fashioned packaging is dreamy.
