HOW TO ELEVATE YOUR JEANS + TEE COMBO 

Is there an easier (or cooler) way to slay your jeans game than with jeans that have done all the work for you? 

If you had braved a snoop through my room a few years ago, you would not have found a single pair of jeans in-between all the jeggings and candy wrappers. Instead, you would have found, well.. jeggings and candy wrappers. Maybe a box of Nerds or some lone Zombie chews that thought they had escaped my snacking, but no jeans.

Now though, I have a steadily growing collection of jeans and the jeans and tee combo somehow became one of my favourite outfits, along side the matching pyjamas and tracksuit and coffee spill combo.

As long as there are no coffee spills, you know it’s going to look good, feel comfortable and be easy to dress up or down. But since jeans are already inherently basic, it’s always more fun to dress them up and one of the easiest ways to do that is with a statement pair. Sequins, stars, chainmail, you can pretty much a pair of jeans with anything stuck to them now.

DENIM APPRECIATION

For a basic jeans and tee outfit, you need a decent pair of jeans. For a great jeans and tee combo, you need an amazing pair of jeans and a damn cool shirt.

Lucky, neither of these are hard to come by these days. While jeans shopping isn’t the most fun thing in the world (not to anyone I know, anyway), we’re lucky to have a huge range available these days. My favourite pair, ironically being the mom jeans.

But if you’re not a mom or that’s not your style, there are about 24 other types of denim leg covers to choose from. The sky is your limit. Or if we’re being technical here, your bank account is.

Also a few years ago, I would have thought tees were way too basic for me. Now, as it turns out, they’re a basic in my wardrobe. And they’re not really basic at all. The choices are even wider than jeans. You can get any kind of print you want on a tee and if you really can’t find it (how hard did you really look, because I found t-shirts with things like lemons and poo on them) you can design it yourself.
