Product Pick | Mavala Double Lash

Oh man you guys, I am so mad at myself.  I wanted to do a proper Mavala Double Lash review complete with before and after photos….but I never took before photos.  I was so eager to just start using it and find out of it worked that I got swept up in the excitement and just started. I also was a little bit skeptical that it would do anything because its so much more affordable than other lash serums and it also doesn’t contain Bimatoprost, which is the active ingredient in Latisse and is the only topical treatment proven to increase lash growth. I should have done before and afters anyway, because I actually think it wound up making a huge difference… Terrible beauty blogging technique, what am I brand new over here?

In spite of my blogging shortcomings, I did want to at least mention the product because I am really loving it.  So not so much a full Mavala Double Lash Review, but definitely an honorable mention.

I have been using the serum on my lashes and my eyebrows every night before bed.  My lashes are looking fantastic, but the real impact I have seen is on the bald areas at the front of my eyebrows.  I will insert a photo below with zero makeup on ( although I did curl my lashes so they would at least be visible)

Usually the front of this brow has huge holes where several hairs just refuse to grow in.  After using this serum for around a month and a half now there is really only one patch that could be a bit thicker, but with the way they have been growing I’m pretty hopeful that it will fill in as well.

And not for nothing but for no mascara my lashes look pretty fantastic here!  I knew they looked good but I honestly didn’t realize how good until I saw the macro shots. They’re so fluffy and long!

So let’s get down the the nitty gritty.  The product costs around $15 a bottle (you can purchase a two pack at ulta for $29) which is insanely cheap for a lash serum, especially considering that I have used several others and these are the best result I have ever seen.

The Packaging isn’t pretty or fancy, it looks more clinical than anything, but it’s easy to use.  It comes in a bottle with a mascara-type wand so it’s convenient to just keep it in the bathroom medicine cabinet and swipe it onto the lashes and brows at night while I’m doing the rest of my skincare routine.

I have pretty sensitive eyes and I have not seen any irritation from using it at all, and I have also not had any darkening of my lid.  That is a major complaint of people who use Latisse, so I’m glad to see that isn’t an issue here.

So to sum things up, I’m really sorry this is a half assed review in the sense that I didn’t take a before photo but I still wanted to mention it because I think it’s a really effective and affordable option for people who are looking to try a lash and brow serum!

Have any of you guys ever tried lash serums?  What was your experience like?  I want to know all about it!
