Warwickshire Summertime Guide

We thought it would be fun to put together a small summer guide of things to do in our local area. We're based in the heart of leafy Warwickshire, only a 50 minute train journey away from London so there's nothing stopping you from popping over and enjoying the English countryside, weather permitting of course!

Toft Alpaca Shop:

The Toft Alpaca Shop is a great place to go during the summer. They host workshops to learn to knit and crochet in their charming on-farm studio and there's a great coffee shop with the most amazing cakes! The main attraction in our eyes is of course the adorable alpacas and if you go to one of their open days you can even take an alpaca on a halter walk.
Coton Manor:

This 17th century manor house is set in a beautiful ten acre garden with flowing streams, fountains and ponds. There is also a magical bluebell wood and wildflower meadow which is at its best in June and July. Whilst you're there you'll spot ducks and flamingos in the pond, chickens wandering around on the lawn and a stunning blue parrot in the Stableyard cafe.
Jephson Gardens:

If you're heading to Royal Leamington Spa then we would recommend stopping off at Jephson Gardens. Based in the town centre it is easy to get to and perfect for a summer day out. The Aviary Café can be found in the most beautiful Victorian tea pavilion along with a Glasshouse full of tropical plants. You can also take a rowing boat or pedalo down the River Leam to soak up the beautiful surroundings.
Malt Kiln Farm Shop:

If your dream of heading to the countryside and picking your own fruit and veg then the Malt Kiln Farm Shop is definitely for you! The strawberries are perfect around this time of year, along with the delicious gooseberries, rhubarb, raspberries, broad beans and blackcurrants.
