I was at Target a couple of weeks ago, of course, and I decided I was going to buy a Burt's Bees Lipstick because I had seen all the love it had gotten from some of my beauty blogger friends. I already love Burt's Bees products so much so I was willing to splurge a little on a product that I wasn't 100% sure I would love. I got this baby for about $9.
I chose the color Fuchsia Flood. Sounds intimidating but looking at the swatches on the display, it didn't look too bright, so I went with it!
After coming home and opening it up, I'm happy I got this shade. It's a really nice pink that doesn't necessarily look too wild.
As you can see, the lipstick comes off a bit sheer, which is a real winner for me. The scent of the lipstick, because I know this is a a deal breaker for some, is very light. It's got the slightest fruity scent to it but you really have to sniff hard to get it. Very pleasant for those who don't like scented lipsticks.
And finally, a lip swatch! It glides on so smooth and it doesn't feel drying at all. The color stays on pretty well, but I had to reapply after meals and stuff. I love that it isn't SUPER saturated with the hot pink shade because for me, this is color enough.
