Every August, our blog goes dark. While we do continue to see clients, we use this extra bit of free time away not just to take a break but to use the opportunity to regroup, reflect and strategize before coming back for the fall season.

When we return, it will also be our 21st year in business. If this success has taught me anything it has been how important it is to stop and look back before forging ahead. We consistently strive to be the gold standard of this industry, to be better than we were yesterday, and we use this time off to ensure that we continue to provide our clients with the best, most professional, and most organized services. The only way we can do this is to reflect and consider what could be done better.

No matter how old we get, September feels like a fresh start. Even if you aren’t running a business, you can also adopt this practice of pausing and looking back before you forge ahead. Is there a large project you can take on that will make you more efficient and better equipped to handle your life? Can you check off small tasks you usually don’t have time to accomplish? In what new ways can you organize the running of your life so you are less stressed and have more time?
