FAcebook Group Member of the Month: Lisa LaFargue-Eason

When I look over the history of posts by members in my Facebook Group, Lisa LaFargue-Eason has never posted.  It may make someone wonder why she would even be on my radar if this is the case.  While Lisa has never posted to the group, she’s incredibly active with supportive comments, kind words, and advice of her own.  Her name shows up in tons of threads.  This is what makes Lisa so memorable to me.  She may not be the most vocal in terms of initiating posts, but she’s always there to help another person out.

There is a place for everyone in the group, lurkers, people who take advantage of the hive mind by posting a lot, and others, like Lisa, who are happy to chime in on posts by others.  I thought it would be nice for you to get to know Lisa better by featuring her as the Facebook Group Member of the Month.  Here are her answers to my questions.

Name: Lisa LaFargue-Eason

Location: Cypress, Texas

Age: 55

Q: What do you like most about being a member of Bridgette’s Facebook Group?

A: The kind group of diverse group of women who give all kinds of ideas and feedback about Fashion, as well as Bridgette’s advice and posts.

Q: The biggest benefits you have received from being a Group member

A: The biggest benefit would probably be the insight into looking at things in a different way than maybe I would have normally. Seeing the outfits that others put together and the feedback that is given is always interesting. Reading Bridgette’s posts always give me ideas as well.

Q: What would you tell women who haven’t joined the Group yet?

A: Join! It doesn’t matter what age, shape, or ethnic background you have you will get something out of this group. The women give kind and constructive advice and they are a lot of fun.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Mainly classic casual. I might throw in something fun and funky into the mix though just for fun.

Q: How did you discover your style?

I have always had kind of a classic casual style, but in my younger days, it was a lot more fun and funky things thrown in. You never know maybe when I get a little older the fun and funkier side might have to come back more. 😉

Q: What advice do you have for others trying to find their style?

A: Wear what you are comfortable in. That doesn’t mean don’t try something on that you aren’t quite sure about. Sometimes when you do that it will surprise you and you might love it.

Q: What fashion issues are you currently struggling with?

Trying to figure out what to wear in this new stage of life, during these new trying times.

Q: What are the most versatile items you have in your closet?

A: Jeans hands down are the most versatile thing in my closet. I do love a cardigan, too. You can dress them up or down.

Q: If you could go back and change the way you dressed in the past, what would you change?

A: I don’t think I would change how I dressed in the past. I had a blast in my teens and early twenties dressing for fun. I might change a purchase here or there, but not really any way I dressed.

Q: Is there a fashion purchase you made that you found more useful than you thought it would be?

A: Yes, slim fit ankle jeans. I was late to the game in buying these because I wasn’t sure I could pull them off. I love them now.

Q: What about a fashion purchase that you thought would solve all your problems, but didn’t?

A: I have a red knit blazer that I thought I would get a lot more wear out of. It’s fine, but not the find I thought it was at the time.

Q: How do you envision yourself when you look your best?

A: Very put together, but comfortable. It might be in a sheath dress with pearls and heels or jeans, a t-shirt and a cardigan as long as I felt put together…and comfortable.

Q: What are your biggest fashion goals for the year?

My biggest fashion goal for this year would be to pare down my closet and utilize what I decide to keep.

Q: What is the best fashion advice you ever received?

A: Don’t try to be someone else. When you are comfortable with how you are and dress it shows.

Q: The first thing you take off when you get home?

A: Jewelry first and then shoes.

Q: Favorite color(s) to wear

A: Richer colors tend to work best on me, blues, reds, browns, and such.

Q: Favorite stores to shop?

Talbots, Ann Taylor, Loft, JJill, and Old Navy

Q: What makes you happiest?

Family, animals, and nature.

Q: What inspires you?

A: The world inspires me. Seeing everything that God has created from the mountains and oceans to the flowers and bugs. I just kind of marvel at the beauty of the world.

Q: Use One Word to Describe Your Style

A: Classic
