Tom Ford Glow Tone Up Cushion

Summer skin is all about that gorgeous glow and letting the natural you shine through.  Whilst some brands go the full monty in revealing the bare skin, some of us everyday mortals need just a bit more help.  For the sexiest perfected bare skin, look no further than the new Tom Ford Glow Tone Up Foundation!

This is the first foundation from Tom Ford’s Soleil line, and it comes in the highly coveted white and gold trimmed casing.  As a touch of the product’s luxurious heritage, the cushion comes in a white velvety pouch and gold carton box.  The interior opens up to reveal the standard mirror under the cover and a swing lid to keep the cushion from evaporating.  The puff applicator picks up the product well and is easy and comfortable to use.

Unlike the other preceding Tom Ford Traceless Touch Cushion Foundation [reviewed here], the new Glow Tone Up Foundation is sheerer and leaves skin with a slightly glowy finish.  It has high SPF45 sun protection, which is great for getting out and about on your vacation.  For a foundation, it packs a hefty punch with skin-loving ingredients such as the brand’s signature Tom Ford Infusing Complex and pearl powders for all-day hydration and a radiant finish.

As you may observe from the half-faced comparison shot above, Tom Ford Glow Tone Up Foundation brightens up my face and lightens my dark undereyes and also brings a glow to my complexion.  It provides decent coverage, sufficient to mitigate the redness around my nose and forehead, and also smoothens out the texture of my skin.  I don’t have serious pigmentation issues at this point, but the slight scarring I have on my forehead from recent pimples need a separate concealer to fully eradicate.  But mostly I just let it be.  I found this Tom Ford Glow Tone Up Foundation to have decent longevity, lasting a good 8 hours before fading gently.  I did not notice much oxidation, which is great because I live in a hot humid climate and am often in and out of air-conditioned interiors.  I do enjoy how comfortable this feels on my skin, and never need to bother about touching up!

Tom Ford Glow Tone Up Foundation is available in stores now.  There are 6 shades, and I am using the shade 2.0 Buff.
