New York City, New York, USA, Feb 16'
Who knew an unused and derelict train Bridge could be turned into a cultural hub and must-see tourist destination in one of the biggest cities in the world? I was told many times to visit the Highline while in New York, so we hopped on the subway, walked down a street filled with beautiful townhouses and up a few flights of stairs to this iconic space.
Although it was cold, the sun came out and sure showed off the Highline in the best light. The art on the walls, sculptures on the ground, architecture of the bridge and surrounding views screamed New York - I don't know how else to describe it then being an utterly cool place.
Being the creep I am, I loved that the bridge was elevated so I could peer into the amazing looking loft style apartments that surrounded the Highline.
It is definitely a place to visit if you are exploring New York. Has anyone been to the Highline - what are your thoughts on it?
