Jewelry Jargon: What is a Solitaire Engagement Ring?

When it comes time for an important jewelry purchase, it is paramount to be familiar with jewelry terms in order to ensure that you are able to find exactly what you want. At deBebians, we carry a huge collection of engagement rings, and it is easy to feel a little overwhelmed at first. Today, I wanted to focus on the most classic type of engagement ring–the Solitaire Engagement Ring. But what is a solitaire engagement ring?

A solitaire engagement ring features only one, solitary stone, such as the ring shown below. Often times our customers will refer to an engagement ring with side diamonds, such as a three stone ring, as a solitaire engagement ring. Even though the center stone is prominent, if a ring has any side or accent diamonds, it is not considered a solitaire engagement ring.

Please browse our entire collection of solitaire engagement rings to see additional designs. You may also view all of our engagement rings to view all of our collections. We have halo engagement rings, diamond accented, and more!
