These Boots Are Made For Walking!

Did you know that North Yorkshire is voted one of the most beautiful places to live? This perhaps explains the above average house prices…but it also means that there are many fabulous walks to follow which many travel far to enjoy, and we are lucky enough to have on our doorstep!

On National Walk Your Dog Day, Millbry Hill would like to share with you some of the best walks that are near to each of our stores. As you probably already know, we love to see your dogs in store, so this means after popping in you could take a stroll on handful of our suggestions.

Stokesley

Starting off in Stokesley which is just 4 miles from the famous Roseberry Topping there are many different routes to be explored, all of which keep Roseberry in sight which makes everything very scenic.

The western and Northern fringes of the North York Moors are described as the most dramatic, and have some of the best views, rightly so making it one of the most popular areas to Walk. James herriott described the views from Sutton Bank as ‘the best in England’. The moors are impressive at any time of the year, but arguably so in the summer months when the flowers are out and the heather is its most colourful.

Whitby

With 3 museums and 1 art gallery around Whitby it is conceivably quite the town of culture. With seaside views and flourishing soils it could be described as the ideal area to live. Visible history such as Whitby Abbey, a lighthouse and a swinging bridge there is an endless list of attractions.

Richmond

A beautiful old market town, small, scenic and sweet. Richmond is a little gem of a town, and the surrounding landscape is breath taking with undulating hills, and stoney rivers. With pubs, brewery’s, castles, railways and entertainments there are attractions for all ages and all the family.
