WinterWomens Favorite Places to Ski/Snowboard!

When asked the question where do you ski/snowboard… we usually all have a lift season pass to our favorite resort! However, it is important to realize by trying new terrain and areas you are exploring not only new slopes you may also enjoy but gaining more experience. I asked our Designer, Merchandiser, and Chief Operating Officer their favorite slope and why. Check out some of our favorite spots!

Steamboat Springs, Co!

Designer, Heather, states “My favorite place to ski is Steamboat. The terrain and skiing in the glades are amazing, and not to mention the “champagne powder”. If anyone has been to Steamboat on a powder day, they know exactly what I’m talking about…it’s like floating on snow. Steamboat offers a wide variety of trails from beginners to experts, but hardly any terrain above tree line. This resort has something for everyone and if you are in need of some R & R, Strawberry Hot Springs is a 7-8 miles drive. Trust me, this is a hot spring you don’t want to miss.”

Merchandiser, Lynn, says “My favorite place to snowboard is Copper Mountain. It’s typically less crowded than other Colorado resorts and the runs are very wide so you’re less likely to get into a traffic jam on the hill. After riding I like to go get the best mini doughnuts in the village. I also like Copper because if you’re not in the mood to ski or snowboard, you can also go to the Woodward camp and jump on trampolines or go ice skating in their outdoor rink.”

Chief Operating Officer, Leigh, believes “”My favorite place to snowboard is Steamboat Springs, CO. Steamboat has a vast amount of runs for all different skill levels and an accessible back-country. Because of how large Steamboat’s mountain is and being further away from the metropolitan areas in Colorado, it usually has relatively short lift lines in comparison to other Colorado resorts located closer to Denver. My favorite part about Steamboat is the Chutes off of the Morning-side lift located on the backside of the resort – the Chutes themselves are always a thrill to go down, but the long run afterwards is one of the best the mountain has to offer, and on some days can be untouched or even waist deep champagne powder!”
