Winter’s Warmest Coats for Women

Tags: coat winter warm

The Marmot Montreal Coat keeping me warm during a Mother’s Day snowstorm in Vail. It’s a necessity to keep on hand year-round here in Colorado!

With the big arctic blast ready to hit almost every state this week, it is time to pull out your warmest Winter coat, your coziest hat, gloves, and scarf, and your best winter boots – because winter is in full blast.

If you’re like me, your body temperature runs generally on the colder side (I used to have a lot of trouble finding a winter coat that kept me warm). Luckily, there are a few coats that are hands-down the warmest jackets for women – tested and approved by the always-cold me! So, if you are looking for something to keep you warm this winter, and haven’t found the level of warmth you need in other brands or styles in previous winters, you’re in luck. Here is the list of this winter’s warmest coats for women:

Marmot Women’s Montreal Coat

This ultra-warm down parka has been my go-to winter jacket for several years now. The 700 fill power down insulation provides the perfect amount of warmth when outdoors in the cold. In fact, I have never felt cold in this coat – even if I have a short sleeve t-shirt underneath! Perfect for low-level activities (walking through the city, walking the dog, walking through a winter wonderland, etc.), this coat will keep your body very, very warm – even if you are simply standing outside in the cold for long periods of time.

Patagonia Women’s Downtown Parka

If you’ve ever thought, “Gee, I wish I could wrap myself up in my sleeping bag and use that as a jacket in the wintertime,” this is the coat for you. Warm and cozy like a sleeping bag, and with plenty of coverage, this below-the-knee jacket with 600 fill duck down ensures you will stay incredibly warm, insanely cozy, and comfortable through city streets or the mountain town village.

The North Face Women’s Arctic Parka

Just like the name, the Arctic Parka is designed to keep you warm in arctic-like temperatures. With 550 fill goose down, this parka will keep you toasty and insulated on those bitterly cold days you’ll find in the cities where winter is not all fun and games, like New York, Boston, Chicago, etc. If you’ve got this coat to keep you warm, however, we say: “Bring it on, winter!”

Spyder Women’s Timeless Long Down Jacket

Spyder’s classic Timeless Long Down Jacket is feminine, flattering, and most importantly: ultra-warm, offering 700 fill power down insulation. If you’re looking for an incredibly warm winter coat that won’t ruin your outfit for your evening out, this is it. This coat is sleek, sophisticated, and everything you could ask for in a women’s winter jacket!
