Disneyland in Bangkok

They say to ‘start the year as you mean to continue’. Well, we spent January 1st 2019 exploring the Disney pop up event in Bangkok, so I’m hoping this means more Disney in my future? (Oh, go on!) As a Disney fanatic who has never actually been to Disneyland (sob!) it couldn’t have been a more idyllic way to start the year. Although there wasn’t terribly much to do, I was extremely content making my way alongside Mickey and Minnie’s houses, though Goofy’s was definitely my favourite – both due to my general goofiness (let’s be honest here) and the fact it’s bright yellow. No surprises there!

Naturally, I tried to channel my best Mickey inspired look; what with the yellow shoes, and red bottoms. My only regret was that I didn’t have two oversized white buttons that I could’ve sewed onto the front of my skirt. You know I would have totally done it! The captain’s hat was a new addition to my wardrobe, and something I’ve admired on others for a while, but didn’t necessarily think I could pull off. Fast forward to new year’s eve eve, and I quietly made it mine. Turns out all it took was a couple of mojitos for confidence!

If you’re in Bangkok you should absolutely go and visit the Mickey’s 90th anniversary pop up! It’s on till mid-January, completely free, and is at King Power Rangnam. Even if you just pop in for a quick photo, it’s totally worth it. Did I mention it’s free?
