A Week in the Sun

Palm tree kaftan – Cooper & Ella / Sandals – Madewell

Well, not so much a week in the sun – four days, more like! The sun part was more than true though. I still have the poor peeling shoulders to prove it. Boo!

It’s still rather unbelievable, but last week I left work a teeny bit early and hopped on a plane over to an incredible Island just off the coast of Phuket. Has anyone else seen that episode of Cribs with Richard Branson? The Santhiya on Koh Yao Yai totally gave me the same private island vibes – and I felt like Jo Branson herself (ha!) struttin’ about in my robe as often as possible. (I’m sure the other guests absolutely loved it!)

After an easy 20 minute boat right past James Bond island, we pulled up to our hotel’s private pier – and yep, that’s where we took these photos! I totally pulled out my finest Angelina Jolie impression, sticking my leg out of the high cut dress as much as physically possible. Nailed it? I certainly think so!

We actually spent the week between Koh Yao and other beautiful resorts in Phuket. What I’m REALLY excited about is that I finally have my very own laptop (my last one broke years ago after I spilt milk over the keyboard. I didn’t cry, but I may has well have!) I took a whole bunch of footage, and now I can set up my very own editing station I’m hoping to bring my YouTube channel back to life. If you could please subscribe that would be absolutely wonderful!

It was honestly one of the most beautiful and relaxing holidays I’ve ever had. We watched the sunset every night, gorged ourselves over breakfast, soaked in our balcony bath (yes, really!), sipped G&T out of pineapple cups at the pool, capsized a kayak and tried paddle boarding for the very first time, at which time I declared myself ‘Queen of the Sea’ – since I stood up for a whopping 20 minutes!

Anyway, I hope you like these photos! They’re my favourite ones I’ve taken in Thailand! So excited to share more with you soon and keep you more updated on everything that’s going on. The perks of having my very own computer! Eep!
