A Killer Snake Dress for Spring: Styled Three Ways

Snake is BIG this Spring, you guys. Or I’m declaring it so, at least. I’m loving it. You may have seen my Facebook post the other day trying to decide between these boots and these boots. I still can’t make a decision: the votes are seriously split down the middle! #thanksanyway Ha.

It wasn’t hard to decide on this amazing Dress, though. It is FABULOUS, and for me to say that about a dress, well…you know it’s good. You’ll be seeing more of this beauty, but for now, check out a few styling options for this python print number…

Outfit 1: Snake Print Dress For A Night Out or A Fun Event

I can hardly style a dress anymore without a leather jacket, so here ya go. I love the look. And these booties are the ones you saw me gush about recently, too. Two solid closet pieces that go with everything. This is a very me way to style any dress.

Jacket – AllSaints Bales Jacket – My fav. Wearing a US 6 here.

Dress – Topshop Python Pleated Shirtdress – Such a rad find. The dress is comfy and has not one, but two slits in front for a super-flattering look on a shortie like me. The slits aren’t too much on me though at 5’4″, and the length is still totally fine overall. Here I’m wearing a US 8 (fits like a 6-8) but I wound up ordering the US 6 because the blouse was too big. I’d say for this particular Topshop piece, stick with your normal size. The waistline stretches on this one.

Boots – Amalfi by Rangoni Piccola Bootie – Insanely soft, comfy heel height, and yet still sexy. These are lovely boots I’ll have for a long time.

Outfit 2: Snake Print Dress For The Office (Or Cooler Temps)

I’m loving this styling for work, and while it’s still early Spring and chilly. If you have a more conservative office or outing, throw on a pair of tights, too. The slit is juuuust high enough for me to feel OK in, but you may want more coverage for work.

Jacket – J.Crew Going Out Blazer – Favorite blazer. It’s fitted and stylish, and yes, you can wear it even on date night. But I am liking it as a top layer here, too. Wearing a 4 Regular. 30% off right now with code SUNNY

Sweater – (similar) Madewell Wrap Front Sweater or this wool cotton blend

DressTopshop Python Pleated Shirtdress – Such a rad find.

Boots – (similar) Sam Edelman Over the Knee Boots

Outfit 3: Snake Print Dress For Spring (If It Ever Gets Here)

Here’s hoping, you guys. And I’m not trusting that groundhog anymore. This is a fun casual look that makes me realize this dress would actually be good for traveling. It just dawned on me to try it with a graphic tee on top. Stay tuned. I’ll post on Instagram if it works. Here you can see more clearly that each side has a slit, showing off my lovely pale legs (yes, even after a trip to Florida. Ha).

Jacket – Levi’s Ex Boyfriend Trucker in Dream of Life – Love having a lighter denim jacket to wear with paler colors, and if I’m trying to pull off the double denim look.

Sneakers – Adidas Superstar

Have you hopped on the snake print bandwagon yet? That is a weird way of asking you if you like snake print…haha. But I’m just going with it. I’m loving that it’s like the springy version of leopard or something. Anyway, it’s a fun update to the closet, and you’ll be seeing much more of it from me in the next months —because I’m hooked! You know I love my animal print. Do share if you find some good pieces!

xo,
