Amazon Swim Selfies: Our Favorite Postpartum One-Pieces

I’ve always worn bikinis. They always seemed…um…easier  — even after having Greenlea. After Ozzie, however, things are not “snapping” back into place as fast as I’d like them to. My C-section scar is a bit bigger and scarier than it was. And the girls are . . .  larger than I’m used to. It’s hard not to feel like a porn star in a bikini top. Especially if it’s been a few hours since nursing. I’m not 100% sure what I’m looking for in a suit, but I want one that’s cute and doesn’t scream PRACTICAL . . . but actually is still pragmatic for moms chasing a toddler down the beach.

My Favorite Postpartum Suits From Amazon

My Favorite

This suit was my favorite of the bunch. I didn’t feel like a nip slip was imminent, and although the back wasn’t full coverage, it wasn’t too cheeky either. I felt covered up but still a bit sexy. Nursing would be out in this one, though.

Featured Suit: Mesh One-Piece (size medium)

My Husband’s Favorite

I really didn’t think I was going to like this one because . . . horizontal stripes. It was actually better than I thought it would be, but the small was too small (hello butt) and the medium was too big on top. It would probably be great on someone who has less of a pear-shaped body! (It also comes in a full floral pattern if you’re not into the stripes.)

Featured Suit: Halter Leaves & Stripes

Shana’s Favorite

This one was super comfortable. I liked the print and how it kind of camouflages lumps and bumps. There’s some cleavage without being super over-the-top, and there’s no danger of the girls falling out. There’s padding to cover nipples and adjustable straps.

Nursing-Friendly Suits From Amazon

High-rise Halter

This one was . . . OK? I liked that the ties were adjustable, but I just didn’t think the bottom was that flattering on me. Check out the reviews, though, because it looks seriously amazing on so many women! This one also comes in a ton of different patterns. (The 8 was too big, but as you can see the size 6 was tight on bottom).

Featured Suit: Striped Halter (size 6)

Yellow Fun

I loved this suit. The ties dug into my back a bit, but not in a super-uncomfortable way. The color is amazing! Although I loved this yellow, I liked it even better in black. (Black is always my favorite.)

Featured Suit: Yellow Ruffles (wearing medium)

Black Ruffles

This was my favorite nursing-friendly suit. I couldn’t exactly run down the beach in this one, but if we were headed to a more relaxed day involving lots of lounging and some nursing, this would be it.

Featured Suit: Black Ruffles (medium)

Stripes & Lace

Ehhh…not my favorite. Stripes are hard. But again, this one looked great on so many reviewers and comes in lots of colors/styles.

Aaaaand One For The Pool

The Lap Suit

Zack and I recently decided to start swimming (we haven’t started yet, but it’s the thought that counts, right?). I used to swim in high school, and I know from experience that these suits are supposed to be tight when you first get them. I’m wearing a size 34, but would probably go with a 36 or even 38 if I was just planning on lounging on the beach. I actually didn’t mind the cut of this suit, even for the beach . . . the girls are definitely secure in this one!

Featured Suit: Speedo (size 34* sized down to actually swim laps in it . . . it’s tight!)

XOXO,

Scotti

P.S. The ONLY reason I’m willing to do some selfies of swim suits (in FEBRUARY) is that I’ve been doing this program called the FASTer Way to Fat Loss. It involves carb cycling, intermittent fasting, keeping track of your macros, and includes personalized workouts that you can do from home (or at the gym). It sounds like a lot of info, but it actually takes little thought because everything is laid out for you. Plus, I’ve literally never eaten MORE than on this plan. Stay tuned for a more detailed post on it, but if you’d like to check it out click here for more info. (Scroll down for a list of FAQs.)
