Leopard Combat Boots (Bad*ss AND Pretty)

Here at TME we tend to be pretty practical with our outfit ideas. We like to provide wearable solutions to getting dressed on the daily. And that’s my favorite part about this lovely blog. So, I’m here to tell you about leopard combat boots!

Aaand… at first thought you might think ‘this is not one of those practical outfit posts, Laura’…oh, but on the contrary, you guys. It is! Shana posted these beautiful shoes on Facebook last month, I believe, and I instantly knew I had to have them. I had been toying with the idea of ordering some Doc Martens this fall, but then I saw these. They seemed to have that cool factor I was looking for, but appeared more comfortable and wearable. I was correct!

I’ve been wearing these boots at least 3x a week for the last few weeks. They’ve become that seriously rad-yet-comfy item I always reach for to up my outfit game on any given day. I adore them, and they seem to go with everything! You’ll be seeing them again, I’m sure, but here’s how I’m wearing them right now.

Leopard Print and Faux Fur for Everyday

I know. It surprised me too that leopard AND Faux Fur could work for an everyday outfit that I actually feel comfortable in. I’m loving both this jacket and the boots. Even though they’re both a little bold, they’re both totally wearable. Jacket = cozy, fun and casual (and the faux fur comes off for when you only want to be casual, not fun). The boots are just, well, everything.

Outfit Details

Abercrombie Sherpa Lined Denim Jacket – So cool and cozy and fab. The cozy faux fur collar is removable, and the body of the jacket is lined in soft sherpa, meaning, you won’t have to layer a hoodie underneath. Score. I knew I wanted to wear this over sweatshirts and sweaters, so I sized up to a Medium and I’m very happy with the fit.

Truly Madly Deep V Tee (similar)

Everlane Authentic Stretch High Rise Skinny Ankle Jeans – You may remember these from the recent jeans try-on sesh I had. They’re a fabulous find from a fabulous company. They feel updated and fresh, but are still the easy, wearable skinny style I love. Wearing my regular size, 27.

Lucky Brand Idara Combat Boots in Leopard – These are spectacular, what can I say? They’re comfortable enough for everyday wear, the side zip makes for easy on-off, and they’re a lovely small leopard print on expensive-feeling, calf-hair material. I can’t say enough good things about them. They run TTS. Wearing my regular size 8.

Rebecca Minkoff Nylon Julian Backpack

Warby Parker Haskell Sunnies – These are prescription, and they are so great. They’re cool, reasonable and they fit well. I’m a big WP fan.

Have you jumped on the animal print trend for this fall? I’ll admit, I’m kinda all about it. It adds that fun factor to your wardrobe but is easy to balance out with preppy or casual or distressed pieces, so you don’t venture into Peg Bundy territory. Balance. You know that’s what makes me happy in an outfit.

Until next time…
