Fall Textures and Patterns

Outfit Details:
Doen Dress (similar here), Everlane Sneakers

We recently visited Apple Hill in Northern California during our stay with family. It is a place I have always loved visiting this time of year for fresh picked apples, cider, and all kinds of apple-infused goodies. I was excited to see Clementine’s expression the first time she tasted an apple donut (she loved them of course!). But the star was the simple activity of picking apples.

It was easy to select this Doen dress to wear for the day, as the plaid fabric has a rustic charm, made from natural fibers that give it a soft, broken-in feeling. Textures and patterns in cotton, corduroy, silk and wool can be found in the most wonderful plaid, and floral styles right now, sharing comfort and a bit of nostalgia in the very best way.

Plaid Blazer

A plaid blazer is classically Fall and this one would pair perfectly with denim, a simple tee, and sneakers for a casual, yet tailored, fall look.

Gingham Midi Dress

Enjoy wearing this Gingham Midi Dress all season long with a pair of sneakers, or dressed up with heeled mules for a date night or holiday look!

Houndstooth Tote Bag

I have the canvas version of this Rue de Verneuil tote bag (last seen here), and I’ve been eyeing this houndstooth version for fall to add a bit of cozy texture to my cooler-weather outfits.
