New York Fashion Week 2019

Outfit details linked here.

Ahhhh- hi friends!!! Long time no talk. JK, it’s been a week since my last blog post but it feels like forever. The past week I’ve been in NYC for New York Fashion Week and then I got home and have been diving into work. Today, I wanted to finally share our itinerary for our long weekend there.

We had SO much fun and it’s always good to go and make connections with other women in the industry and also have face to face meetings with brands. Have any further questions about New York Fashion Week? Leave them in the comments and I’ll answer!

NYFW Day 1- Thursday:

My friend Geordian and I flew out together from DFW on Thursday morning. The other girls were coming from California so they got in a little before us.

5:45am-noon: Travel time! Once we landed in LGA we took an Uber to our hotel in SoHo, we checked in, and then we were all starving so we went and got a bite to eat with the other girls we roomed with at Benson’s. Afterwards, we walked around the area and got ready for the first events.

5-8pm: Tula Glow and Get it party

  • This event was SO fun. Tula put this together to launch their new Rose Glow & Get it product (which is fabulous!). The theme was pink so every blogger there was all decked in pink. I, of course, strutted a hot pink pantsuit. We were there to basically mingle with other bloggers, it’s always really fun to meet so many girls in person… especially since we all fly in from all over the country.

8-11pm: VS x Vogue Party

  • After Tula, we ran home to change quickly and then headed to the Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Fragrance Launch Party. It was in partnership with Vogue so it was a SUPER cool party. Very chic, fabulous, and lots of famous people lol. Derek from the Bachelor was there also! It was jam packed but we had so much fun watching all of the models and just drinking and mingling.

12pm: We headed to Time’s Square for photos and then ended our night with some good ole New York pizza haha. I CAN NOT remember where we went for Pizza… I was seriously delusional at that time after a day of travel. New York Fashion Week is no joke!

NYFW Day 2- Friday:

8:30am: First meeting with ShopBop. We headed over to the Empire State Building to meet my contact at Shopbop at the Starbucks underneath it. We got the opportunity to get to know her, chat with her, and hear more about what Shopbop has going on. We were also 30 mins late to this meeting and we all felt absolutely terrible about it…. morning traffic in NYC is NO joke.

10:00am: Breakfast at Dr. Smood. This place was really pretty….. all marble countertop and is known to be one of the healthiest stops in NYC haha. I got the most delicious Avocado toast.

11:30am: Meeting with Alison Brod. This is THE beauty PR company. I love working with Alison Brod throughout the year to test out new beauty products to share with you all. We got to see their super girly and pink office and raid the beauty closets…. seriously a dream haha!

12:15pm: Coffee at Blank Slate tea. We had some time to kill before our next meeting so we went to this adorable tea shop for coffee, tea, and a quick snack. This place is precious, so aesthetically pleasing and pink!!!

1pm: Meeting with Tula. This was probably one of my favorite meetings because we got to sit down and hear SO much about the brand and the new products as well as really chat with a few girls on the team. This company is so fabulous! They had a whole setup for us and they walked us through all the new products coming the rest of 2019 and also in 2020. SO MANY fabulous things y’all!

3pm: Meeting with Kendra Scott Showroom. We stopped by Kendra Scott’s showroom in NYC to look at their new holiday collection and Spring 2020 collection that is coming. Loved everything so much! It was great to meet the marketing girls there as well and make connections.

4pm: Willow & Clay showroom. This was in the same building as Kendra Scott so we were able to stop by and hear about their new Spring collection which is absolutely AMAZING. So many cute prints and colors. This brand is sold in Nordstrom BTW.

5pm: Meeting at the Marc Fisher showroom. Our last stop of the day! We stopped by the Marc Fisher Showroom to see the shoes that are coming out Spring 2020 and the styles are so chic.

After a day of meetings, we headed home to take a nap, eat snacks, and change.

9pm: Dinner!!! We found THE most amazing Italian restaurant y’all. We ate at Giano which is a restaurant and wine bar. I can’t even remember what the heck we ate but it was incredible Our appetizer was this prosciutto, arugula, and burrata salad with a balsamic glaze and my mouth is seriously watering again. This was THE place!

NYFW Day 3- Saturday:

9am: Woke up and got ready. Thankfully we got to sleep a tad bit more. The other girls actually woke up earlier because they were shooting pictures.

10:30am: Breakfast at The Jane hotel…. the restaurant is Old Rose. This place is adorable and look fabulous for photos. Their brunch was delish too!

1pm: Went to Rebecca Minkoff Presentation. This presentation was fast and furious but really awesome.

3pm: Went back to the hotel for a quick nap and then me and one of the girls walked over to Cha Cha Matcha for a drink. It was the “cool” place haha.

5:15pm: Tried to go to another show but we got lost….

5:40pm: We ended up going to the Meatpacking district and went to the rooftop at Restoration Hardware for a drink and then walked over to Catch NYC for an incredible dinner. Catch was seriously AMAZING.

And that was the trip! It was so fun, so fast, so busy, and I’m extra thankful to have been able to go to New York Fashion Week and for all of you that follow along. Thanks for reading!!!
