This is my life...

So much to share...where does the time go?!? I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas...December is a month where I don''t really come up for air...I just go...then January comes around and I sleep from all the going in December! Actually this January has been a lil different. I've decided to reorganize my life, my house and myself. I'm sure you hear that at the beginning of every new year... I am not one who makes New Year Resolutions...or promises. Maybe I've had too many broken so why upset myself!? I got out my good ol' Martha Stewart Homekeeping Handbook and started there...

While doing all of this cleaning, I have finally started on that redecorating I been wanting to do but keep putting it off...I am starting in my living room. I ripped out all my old wallpaper in my bookshelf and put in lighter fresher paper. I am LOVING it!! Just this little change makes the room so bright and happy!!
The before...

This is my after! It is a soft blush and metallic gold paper. It is peel and stick...well so it says...after having my teal paper up a few years and taking it down...I took off quite a bit of wall with it..I was not happy! If I were just repainting I would have had to have the walls redone. That could have been a huge expense! Instead I sanded the walls down to a smooth surface cleaned them all with my fabulous THEIVES Cleaner and got busy!! I cussed the whole time, saying who designed this shelf!! That would be me! Oh the afterthoughts of building and yes even 10 years later!! I did get it done in one Sunday afternoon...one long afternoon into the evening and after dinner day... I've been playing around with the placement of all my stuff...removed a lot and bought some new, mostly just rearranged. Even took a shelf out, it just felt more spacious that way.

Here is what the paper looks like up close! I searched high and low...guess where I ended up finding it!! Target!! I had to order it online because our Target rarely has things available...living in a smaller city is so grande except when it comes to shopping! Unless you are shopping local then you have are in shopping heaven! Big box stores just don't stock like they do in bigger cities, as much as I would love to do everything local, we just sometimes need things!! So anyhoo...how I can get off track so easily!! Oh a squirrel! 😁😁

Next mission are curtains...I have beautiful 108" Velvet Teal Curtains in my living room...it's time to go! I want grey...I think I want to stick with velvet, it's just so cozy...but who knows..I may find something else that is fabulous!! Here are the ones I think I want, but Kevin thinks lighter grey...so we will see...

Then onto furniture! I feel like I live like we were just married...with miss matched furniture.. We've been changing colors out over the past year...and I bought Kevin a chair for his birthday but it was suppose to be this hot eccentric pink and it came out 1980 mauvey pink...so I think I will have it recovered once I get my couch in here...I want to go with a cream couch so that if I do change colors I don't have to change big pieces, it gets a little pricey doing it that way!! 😳😳 Ahhh and I just can't do that! And flat out won't. I want timeless pieces..I think that's part of the reason it's taking me so long to find what I am looking for when it comes to furniture. This is a couch I have had my eye on..the chair with the little ottoman too(not that circle ottoman)! Just simple, classic look. Ahhh decisions, decisions!

So now onto my lifestyle change....I have worked out the same way for 20 years...go to the gym, cardio, lift, pilates...yadadada. I am so burnt out on it I am currently stagnate..I hate it...turning 40 something your body changes, your energy level drops...so here is what I am doing for myself. Ballet...I have been looking at studios for 2 weeks...and just talking with a friend and her daughter being a dancer, she said come to our studio!! So I am!! I am just doing it!! I found my ballet shoes! I am going to go to Attitudes and get a couple of things and just do it!! This Wednesday night is my first class!! I can not tell you how excited I am!

Continuing on with lifestyle...is my business. This past last half of the year was really slow in the world of makeup...I was really worried but starting this year I put a plan together and I feel like it is working. I have a schedule. I go LIVE in my FB Group every Tuesday night for tutorials or just for fun things!! My last tutorial was on stoning my face! It was sooo much fun!! Here is a quick little video of the night!! So be sure to head over to FB Group on Tuesday nights!! I have new lines I am bringing to the table!! Can not wait to share them with you!! I feel a trend...just do it...go big or go home!! No Fear!!
