10 of Our Coziest and Favorite Christmas Morning Recipes

 
With only 3 days to go before Christmas, it's time to start baking and filling in our last minute decoration details. Ever since I was young, my favorite meal this time of year was breakfast around the tree on Christmas Morning. There are sweet rolls and egg dishes and fruit salads and every Delicious kind of brunch food you could want. So here a few of my favorite Christmas morning recipes that you should definitely consider sharing with your family !

Baked Cinnamon Crême Brulée French Toast

A delicious and fancy twist on your favorite french toast, this dish includes raspberry preserves and is from one of my favorite food blogs to browse, half baked harvest! 

Here's what you need: 

1/4 cup of maple syrup, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 6 tablespoons of melted butter, 8 large beaten eggs, 2 and 1/2 cups of whole milk, 3 tablespoons of orange liqueur, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, 1 Teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 loaf of challah bread sliced, 1-2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and 1 jar of raspberry preserves

Overnight Gingerbread Cinnamon Rolls

Don't these look absolutely delicious !! My grandma used to bring us cinnamon rolls that we would warm up and eat with a mug of hot chocolate, but these even have a gingerbread twist ! 

Here's what you need:   

For the Dough: 1 cup of whole milk at room tempurature, 1/4 cup of molasses, 2 and 1/4 teaspoons of active dry yeast, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 3 and 1/2 cups of flour, 1 egg, and 3 tablespoons of melted salted butter 

For the Filling: 5 tablespoons of melted salted butter, 1/3 cup of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg  

For the Frosting: 4 ounces of cream cheese, 1/4 cup of salted butter, 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, and 1 tablespoon of whole milk

Egg Brunch Breakfast Muffins

These are not your traditional muffins, these are scrambled egg and veggie muffin hybrids. I absolutely cannot wait to try this delicious looking healthy muffin !  

Here's what you need:

20 oz. bag of Simply Potatoes shredded hash browns, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, 2 cups of Fiesta blend cheese, 12 oz. package of Rath bacon cooked and crumbled, 9 eggs, 1/2 diced red pepper, 1/2 diced orange pepper, parsley, and 1/2 cup two percent milk

Buttermilk Blueberry Breakfast Cake

Although blueberries are not your most traditional Christmas fruit, this cake looks totally delicious ! In an hour time you can have this golden brown, moist yummy treat to share with the fam ! 

Here's what you need:

1/2 cup of unsalted butter, zest from a large lemon, 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 cups of blueberries, and 1/2 cup of buttermilk

Huevos Rancheros Crescent Bake

Ok these little individual egg crescents are so adorable ! Such a neat twist on the original egg bake, it's simple and totally delicious !  

Here's what you need: 

2 cans of crescent rolls, 8 eggs, 1 can of roasted diced tomatoes undrained, 1 tablespoon of chipotle chile in adobo sauce finely chopped, 1 tablespoon adobo sauce, and 2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro

Bacon Breakfast Ring

Another great twist on the egg bake, and this time you can pull it apart! Perfect for a family setting where multiple individual portions are needed, this crescent ring is not only delicious but pretty too ! 

Here's what you need:  

8 oz can of Pillsbury Crescents, 8 slices of cooked bacon, 1/2 red bell pepper chopped, 1/2 green bell pepper chopped, 5 eggs, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and 2 eggs (one for optional egg wash)

This breakfast version of apple pie is perfect for a delicious Christmas morning breakfast ! Drizzle a little maple syrup on top and you have a picture worthy meal !

3/4 cup of unsalted butter, 1 and 1/2 cup of brown sugar packed, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, 8 large eggs, 1 and 1/2 cups of milk, 3/4 cup of heave cream, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, pinch of salt, 1 large apple, and 1 pound of sliced challah bread

Gingerbread Oatmeal

I love baked oatmeal, I go to Colectivo for the sole purpose of getting their delicious oatmeal whenever I'm having a not so great day. So when I saw this recipe for slow cooker Gingerbread oatmeal I got so excited !  

Here's what you need: 

2 cups of uncooked steel-cut oats, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of ginger, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of cloves, 1/2 teaspoon of all spice, 8 cups of water, and 1/4 cup of molasses

2 tablespoons of oil, 8-10 sliced mushrooms, 2 teaspoons of minced garlic, 1/2 red onion diced, 2 bell peppers diced, 2 cups of baby spinach chopped, 20 ounces of shredded potatoes thawed, 10 eggs, 1/3 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of hot sauce (optional), salt, pepper, and 1 cup of shredded cheese
