Bite Beauty: Prismatic Pearl Creme Lip Gloss

Konnichiwa How was your week? We hope you had a lovely one filled with sunshine! Unfortunately, Vancouver, or should we say Raincouver, was anything but sunny but we hope our blog can be your little sliver of sunshine By the way, did any of you try the Colourpop eyeshadows we reviewed last week? If you haven’t yet, check out last week’s post – their shadows are amazing!

This week we’ll be looking into some high shine glosses… they aren’t for the faint of heart so if you’re ready, let’s get started!

Description

As the name suggests, the Prismatic Pearl Creme Lip Glosses are a line of metallic pearl glosses by the wonderful Bite Beauty. They are multi-dimensional, high shine shades that give a modern, metallic lip look. Made with shea butter, they are also meant to help keep your lips soft and hydrated. There are 7 colours and they retail for $22 USD or $25 CAD for 0.14 oz or 4.14 mL.

Review

Why don’t we start off by saying that these glosses are … absolutely stunning!! Helen has definitely fallen deeply in love with these glosses fast. Having loved everything Bite Beauty since it first came out, we definitely had to give these guys a try – especially with metallic lips being so on trend these days! And fear not – they don’t disappoint! In fact, it was truly love at first sight for Helen.

Note the iridescence at different angles

The formula also feels hydrating without being too sticky. There is a little bit of tackiness, but definitely not a major issue by any means. It has a subtle, light fruity scent too, a natural fruity scent since Bite products are made with food-grade, edible ingredients – have your lip gloss and eat it too! Just kidding

Bare lips

Champagne Pearl: Metallic champagne with nude and gold shimmer. This one is definitely one of the more muted shades but still incredibly beautiful and metallic.

Rose Pearl: Metallic rose with green and violet shimmer (mainly violet, don’t worry, your lips will definitely not be green). This gloss is a tad on the streaky side compared to the other glosses but still not too bad. Just be careful when you are layering up the gloss. Colour-wise, this one is still our fave!

Oyster Pearl: Metallic taupe silver shimmer, slight purple undertones. With the taupe and silver in this gloss, it almost gives a cosmic look – really cool!

The only downside to these glosses are probably the cost. For $25 CAD a piece, these glosses don’t run cheap. But considering how they are made with amazing, natural ingredients… maybe that helps to justify the price a little. They also don’t have a huge colour range – but hopefully they’ll come out with more soon!

Overall though, we would still highly recommend these lip glosses. The colours are very unique and flattering on a range of skin tones. If you’re into the metallic lip trend right now or just love a good shimmer gloss, try this one out! They are so mesmerizing, you won’t be disappointed!

Thank you so much for tuning in this week! Let us know if you give one of these glosses a try or if you try out any other Bite Beauty products, we would love to hear in the comments below! Until next week, Sayonara!
