Oh what a year 2016 has been!
With just a few hours to go, and a bag full of memories to reminisce , this year is fast approaching it’s end. To say that 2016 has been kind to me would be an enormous understatement! And while I may not be the one to appreciate parties and ‘outings’ all that much, bidding adieu to a fabulous year definitely calls for some dressing up and celebrations!

As the entire generation of millennials brush up their A-game for cleaning up and looking fancy, how does a girl dress up to look every bit NYE-ready and yet unique and individual?
After all.. what girl would want to look like every body else at a party?!

Swamped with posts after posts and looks after looks for NYE these past few days, I set out to do something that seemed next to impossible – assembling an Outfit and a look that would prove to be a fresh change and hopefully a little motivation and encouragement for all you rebels out there who hate looking like the ‘Norm’. Looking predictable and typical is not something you’d wanna round off the year, and begin a new one with!

Make a mess of your hair, whip up something new, experiment with new colours for makeup and team up unlikely pieces of clothing together. The last thing I wanted to do was to post a look for you guys in tandem with the beaten path of a short sequinned dress. Where’s the fun in that?!
So instead I went with a metallic bell sleeved bodysuit teamed with a pair of denim shorts with a faux leather jacket, fishnet tights and boots. I did something different with my hair in tune with the RollerBlade-Disco look that the outfit had already prompted and took a huge leap of faith with the Blue lippie. Life is too short to stay boring ; )

Hope you guys try something new tonight, and ring in the new year to an endless possibility of fresh, exciting and beautiful changes. Let the new year be all about wonderful metamorphoses…out with the (boring and monotonous) old, and in with the (fabulous) new!
