Stop waiting for Friday, for Summer, for someone to fall in love with you, for life. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting and make the most of the moment you’re in now.

It was in the early days of summer, while I was taking one of my long walks on the beach, when I realized that freedom and the Ocean go hand in hand.

You see, I always loved the ocean and maybe it was my – more or less – conscious craving for a life where I feel free to be exactly who I am and to float on the waves of creativity just like the pelicans surf on the glistening waves of the sea. But the fact of the matter is that I feel I belong next to the ocean, the white powdery sand and the shade of the palm trees, in a warm, soothing climate, where all the cultures of the world come to blend and then strip away their differences only to skinny dip in the depths of relaxation and letting go.

Summer is so easy to love with its lightheartedness, its long days, stunning sunsets and endless abundance. To me, summer represents zest of life, exuberance and fun. It represents getting lost in creativity and fun work hours that turn into days.

I feel like during summer we can become more little kids again and enjoy simpler things like a bowl of ripe cherries, a cold pink lemonade, listening to your favorite tunes while you laugh your ass of with your best girl friend(s) by the pool, and playing dress up with your favorite breezy dresses and flowy skirts.

Summer is an ode to the love of simply being and to the life giving power of the Sun.

Summer is the season to fall in love again and again, and always with the same things.
