Tip #1. Develop The Best And/Or Interesting Content

Today, there’s very few to no shortcut in getting more inbound links besides actually having a content worth linking to. Most grey (and even more black)-hat link building tactics no longer work nowadays with the updates on Google algorithm. So, either aim to have the absolute best, most informative, and in-depth content of a certain topic, or approach the topic from a unique angle not explored by others. Both are, arguably, equally difficult nowadays but is definitely do-able with proper research and effort.

Consistency is also important. Focus on a topic, and develop quality content to target keywords surrounding the topic.

Tip #2. Quality, Not Quantity

It’s no longer a secret that Google nowadays take account of the quality of backlinks over quantity. However, many SEO marketers still don’t realize that getting too many backlinks— even if it’s high quality— can be counterproductive and will flag Google to penalize your site. Remember that there are now billions of sites indexed by Google, and they simply don’t have time to review each site individually even if you get, say, 20 high-quality links with legal means. Google might instead suspect your site using grey-hat or black-hat tactics and penalize it.

Finding The Differences Between Black Hat And White Hat SEO

While outlining inbound marketing strategy, marketers have to choose between…

So, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Aim for just 2 to 3 authoritative backlinks for each page per month. Build relationships with these high-quality sites so you’ll get more links from them in the long run (so Google will see these as natural links.)

Tip #3. Social Bookmarking

Above, I have addressed how most grey-hat tactics simply no longer works nowadays, but one of the very few exceptions that still works today is social bookmarking and signals. This list by Search Engine Journal can help you in finding the right platform(s) for your social bookmarking efforts.

The idea is, while social shares are not accounted as “real” backlink (as confirmed by Google), by having more people aware of your content, there is a higher chance that some of them might give you those valuable links.

Tip #4. Social Media And Influencer Marketing

Similar to social bookmarking, being active on social media, and working with influencers can be very effective in spreading your content. Have a strong social media presence, build relationships and work with relevant influencers according to your niche. Create a short video about your content on social media (and link it to the actual content). The idea is to get as many people to consume your content, and get them to share it.

Tip #1. Just Ask For Backlink

it is a nice way to start, especially if you are a newbie. Think about your friends, relatives, colleagues, partners, clients that have a blog or a site.

All you have to do is ask for a backlink. Ask for in-content links instead of links in the sidebar or footer.
Always be careful and make sure that the backlink comes from a website that is relevant to your niche. Otherwise, it will not have too much of an impact and may even be harmful.

Tip #2. How To Reach Out Strangers For Blacklink

You can write an email to approach relevant bloggers and content creators. Be honest and build relations with them, in this email you can say something like this..
Sample Email Template:

Hey Gautam,

I saw that you have a great article on your blog on Topic “Digital Marketing”.
I just posted a very relevant and specific article on Topic “19 Expert Predictions on Digital Marketing Trends in 2019” on my blog, You can check out this article link.

I think your audience would love to read it.. Please feel free to add this link in your article.
Have a great day!
Cheers
John

Tip #3. Offer Testimonials

It is a perfect way for them to build customer trust. You can write a testimonials on specific services or products which you have used and how was your experience. Be transparent and write about your problems and solutions you got and how that product or service helped.

On the other hand, it’s a great opportunity for you to get a backlink and right traffic from that site and it usually has a much higher approval rate than your link request emails comparatively.

Tip #4. Write A Good Guest Post

Always do very good research and write comprehensive article put lot of insights, write an interactive article like two people are talking build a conversation style.

Bring specific points what that every con connect with the flow of your article. Don’t forget to introduce yourself and while addressing topic and bring your unique style (storytelling) so that people remember you.

Bring lot of valuable information so that it becomes irresistible. Make sure that you over delivered that’s what people should feel at the end.

All these points lead to get huge traffic and comment on your post..

Reverse engineering on competitors backlinks

  • First step is to find out all major competitors and make a list of all them
  • Do research on their backlinks and websites associated
  • Approach all those websites to get backlink. If your competitors can get which means chances are high that you can also get those backlink

Tip #1. Ego Bait

This technique consists in appealing to the “ego” of an influencer by mentioning them so that, in reciprocity, they link your domain in the future. The idea is to encourage interaction between you and influencers, start a conversation and build a relationship.

This strategy can go this way:

  • Create a post with a list of influencers in your topic including a link to their website and/or social media profiles
  • Placing @mention to ping them and mention them in the post.
  • Collect their emails and contact them to ask if they have any comments to make regarding the posted entry.
  • Invite others with influence to contribute content to your site.

Tip #2. Resource Pages Enrichment

Resource pages are pages that link out to awesome content on a given topic.
These pages exist for the sole purpose of linking out.

This strategy can go this way:

  1. Try to find resource pages in your topic using this search terms:
  2. “Keyword” + inurl:links
    “Keyword” + “helpful resources”
    “Keyword” + “useful resources”
    “Keyword” + “useful links”

  3. Build a resource that can fit well these resource pages.
  4. Outreach by email authors or editors of these resource pages asking them to add your helpful resource.

Tip #3. Make Your Product Great

The first of the Four Ps of marketing is Product. A product can be either a tangible good or an intangible service that fulfills a need or want of consumers. Whether you sell custom pallets and wood products or provide luxury accommodations, it’s imperative that you have a clear grasp of exactly what your product is and what makes it unique before you can successfully market it.

Best way to gain domain authority is to be an authority not only online but in the real world. Organic links are built organically, so it’s important that your product owners communicate how great your product is and its improvements.

Kent Lewis

President and Founder of Anvil Media, Inc

Top Backlink Generating Tips by Kent Lewis

I started my SEO career in 1996, after a brief stint in the world of public relations. I’ve found that leveraging PR skills and techniques is the best form of link development out there, as it results in inbound links from high domain authority websites. Here are my two SEO tips:

Tip #1. Haro Press Coverage For Off-page Seo

Since my first foray into PR in 1994, I’ve continued utilizing and honing my PR abilities since then, resulting in press coverage and mentions in publications including Business News Daily, Enterpreneur, Forbes, Fast Company, Inc., New York Times, Reader’s Digest. In fact, last year, I generated ~90 mentions, and ~80 the year previously, primarily via HARO by Cision email pitches. The net result has been a high domain authority for our agency that is much larger than our dozen employees.

Tip #2. Backup Suggestion For Off-page Seo: Syndicated Articles

Another effective link development strategy is writing syndicated articles for third party industry publications. Over the years, I’ve written for publications including iMedia, Portland Business Journal, Online Marketing Institute and SmartBrief. You can see our coverage here, which includes local media (TV interviews), industry publications (iMedia) and business (Forbes, Inc., etc.)

But creating great content and letting it just sit there won’t do much for your link profile. You also need to promote it on the right channels. We make sure to share our posts on multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram, so we reach a bigger audience.

Tip #2. Outreach and Building Relationships

We also put a lot of emphasis on outreach and building relationships with influencers and thought leaders in our niche. Our newly developed tool, Respona, helps make that possible. And if we include an influencer quote in one of our articles, we make sure to reach out to the sources and let them know about it. Most of the time, they are nice enough and willing to share it on their social channels!

They show people the different possibilities of what they can create in Visme.

Simple Link Building Tips by Borja Girón

Once we have our content optimized for both Google and to convert visits to customers we must start working on our link strategy. I’m going to give you the three best techniques to get quality links that work for me as well as for the clients of my consultancies.

Tip #1. Check Your Broken Links

This is the first step and the simplest to get links. We must review the links that we already have from other websites but that for any reason we have lost. For example, some 404 errors.

For that we can use plugins like Broken Link Checker or tools like SEMrush or Xovi.

Tip #2. Create Infographics, Studies With Data And Percentages, Videos-tutorials And Rankings

These are for me the easiest content to share and therefore with which we have more possibilities to get links on related websites.

Try to create content that solves specific problems and focus on offering infographics, studies, video-tutorials and rankings mentioning different professionals.

Tip #3. Review Articles For Which You Have Complementary Content

One of the link building strategies that I like most is to review posts well positioned on Google from other websites for which I have related or complementary content.

It is then when I write a very careful email and providing some complementary video, updated content, some study or in short something that contributes or improve the article.

The fact of having worked the personal brand and having a relationship with other Bloggers makes this method work much better.

Tip #4. Press Releases

This is the extra advice I wanted to give you especially for new projects.

Launches a press release exclusively to work on the personal and company brand. In this case I recommend not seeking to optimize the anchor text for certain keywords, just to work the brand.

In this way everything is much more natural.

How to Build Quality Backlinks by Dr Dave Chaffey

In B2B marketing, providing a trusted source of reference content or a tool, is still an effective method to attract backlinks as we have found in our experience at Smart Insights. This type of content will attract links naturally if you’re able to gain a top 10 position by encouraging links through initial outreach, since you have created valuable content that other bloggers and site owners will naturally link to in their own articles about similar topics. This type of content fits well with Google’s latest guidance to search evaluators which suggests that good quality content provides Expertise-Authority-Trust or E-A-T https://moz.com/blog/google-e-a-t

Reference content and tools can also be effective for consumer markets. Here are three ideas for you to see if you could apply to your sector covering different variants of this.

Best Digital Marketing Tools Recommended by Marketing Gurus

Unless you’ve been living under rocks for the last few…

Tip #1. Benchmarking Statistics

Provide a page, link to other reputable sources which people can use for reference, particularly when blogging about a topic.

For example, we provide a reference to the best social media statistics that are useful for marketers which we update regularly. This attracts links organically, without the need for outreach, although you do need to be quick off the mark, to reference the date change at the start of each year. This post has provided more than ten thousand visits per month for several years, but we do put effort in to update it.

Tip #2. Summarize New Or Changes About A Topic Important To People

An example from the search sector is summaries of algorithm changes. These are covered by blogs like Search Engine Journal which has its Google Algorithm Updates & Changes: A Complete History ranking 1 and a tool-based version focusing on major changes from Moz with its Google Algorithm Update History.

Tip #3. Provide A Tool Like A Calculator For Consumers

An example here is financial services, I like this mortgage calculator that ranks one, party because it is grouped with related tools which use internal links to boost ranking. These tools can also gain links organically.

Tip #1. Competitor Backlink Analysis

My all-time favourite link building strategy has got to be competitor backlink analysis.

This is a really simple method which helps you replicate the links that your competitors already have and Google already approves of.

This can include a whole range of link building methods such as writing a guest post, leaving a blog comment or joining a forum discussion.

This strategy combined with my intelligent backlink analysis spreadsheet gives you all the information you need to build powerful links.

You just start by identifying your competitors and use a backlink analysis tool to gather data (such as Ahrefs). Load the data into my spreadsheet and then review the plan of attack.

The spreadsheet filters out all the bad, spammy links and leaves you with the links you should go after, and which method you need to use to obtain them.

It really is that easy and is a strategy that has stood the test of time.

There are 3 backlink analysis tools I would recommend (and which I have a backlink analysis spreadsheet compatible for):

Ahrefs
SEMRush
SEO Spyglass

Each tool will provide you with the data you need to complete your competitor analysis but if need a cost-effective tool then they all have free (or as good as) trial you can take full advantage of to get the data you need.

So to uncover your competitors best backlinks just follow this strategy which saves you time and money when it comes to building valuable links.

Akash Srivastava Backlinks Strategies

Backlinks have always been one of the crucial factors for ranking any website on search engines. But over the time search engines have brought in many changes to ensure a fair ranking system. I focus on mainly 2 strategies to get backlinks for my clients’ websites:

Tip #1. Local Citations Building

Having a complete citation is another way to create backlinks. It should include the name of the company, its phone number, address and website URL. So complete your citations as it proves to be a valuable asset for your business and linking purposes both. Apart from this, the citations ensure the existence of your business and add trust value too. For local search, the citations can do wonders for your business. So choose the websites wisely where you wish to place your citations.

Tip #2. Guest Posting

It is one of the effective ways to get backlinks, help you to build your brand and boost the credibility of your business. That is why it is a good idea to come up with as many guest posts you can for your website. However, don’t spam. The number of good backlinks you get will surely help in improving the overall rank
of your website.

So these are the important 2 strategies which you can adopt to get quality backlinks.

Conclusion

I hope you have learned some new tricks of link building here. Getting links with the same old old tactics isn’t providing any value to rank organically.
