You may recall that earlier this year a member of the Mobius team won a regional karate championship in Ilkley, Leeds.
Well, on the 1st October Brett went and fought in the SSU Open Karate National Championships, along with his teammates from Hull Shukokai Karate. They only sent 3 fighters but returned with 9 medals!

The day started well with an early gold medal for Brett his brown belt division for kata, which he tells us is like a dance demonstrating technical ability.
He won by unanimous decision, performing kata Annan in the final round.
He also won bronze medals in kumite (fighting), team kumite and shobu ippon kumite (one point fighting).
