SolidWP Installation and Setup
Solid Security, Solid Backups, and Solid Central can be easily downloaded from your Solid dashboard. They are compressed files that can be uploaded to your WordPress site as you would other plugins. The best way to secure your websites is to make sure you have adequate data backups. Solid Backups (formerly Backup Buddy) is an excellent complement to your existing data backup by your web host. I always recommend performing your own separate backups just to be on the safe side. With Solid Backups, you get that extra layer of data backup security.
You can setup Solid Backups to automatically back up your website or you can perform on-demand backups. And, Solid Backups gives you multiple backup options. You can your backup data stored on the Stash Live cloud or perform local backups that are stored on your own web server in your wp-content folder.
For all mission-critical WordPress sites, making sure you have sufficient data backup and restore capabilities is essential. I am definitely impressed with Solid Backups and would recommend it for all WordPress site owners. It’s easy to use and gives you added protection should you need to restore your sites.

Solid Central
Solid Central is a great time saver for those of you having to manage a large number of WordPress websites. Instead of having to login to the admin side of each individual WordPress site, with Solid Central you can manage all of your sites from a single point. Using Solid Central, you can manage plugins, themes, posts, pages, comments, users, and settings—all from your Solid Central dashboard. You can also access your website analytics, as well as manage backups, security, and site audits.
If you have a WordPress agency, are a WordPress developer, or you need to manage a bunch of your own WordPress sites, I would recommend trying out Solid Central.

SolidWP Customer Support
SolidWP does a good job with their email ticket support. You’ll receive an auto-reply message with stated response time of 1 to 3 business hours and issue resolution time of within 3 business days. The support department is available during business hours during the week only at this time.
When I contacted support, my question and issue was answered and resolved in less than 24 hours. SolidWP also offers an extensive and easy to access knowledge base you can also search for help. Hopefully, in the future they will also incorporate some type of live chat support with their products.

Recommendation – Why You Should or Shouldn’t Use SolidWP
While WordPress is the website platform of choice for many users (including myself), it is also unfortunately easily attacked and often hacked. If you have a mission-critical WordPress site for your business, such as an online store or customer acquisition site, you definitely want to have extra protection to make sure your website continues to be safe and accessible. In our opinion, the SolidWP suite of tools provides excellent security coverage for just such purposes.
Solid Security is an impressive security addition that all serious WordPress website owners should consider and at least try out. While you could try out the free version in the WordPress.org repository, I would recommend going with Solid Security Pro for better protection. Overall, the SolidWP suite of tools (Solid Security, Solid Backups, and Solid Central) are definitely worth the investment if you rely on your WordPress website for your business or personal income. While they may not be required for personal websites, all serious and mission-critical WordPress site owners need to make sure they have the proper security measures in place in the often attacked WordPress platform. Therefore, I would certainly recommend SolidWP for added WordPress security.
