The Diplomat, starring Keri Russell, follows a U.S. Ambassador who has to deal with international crises and struggles involving her career diplomat husband. Bodyguard, a British political thriller available on Netflix, revolves around a man who is trained in combat and assigned to protect someone being hunted. Slow Horses, an Apple TV+ original series, is about a man in a department of MI5 that houses all the rejects. Designated Survivor, another political thriller, follows a lowly US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development who is chosen to be a designated survivor during the State of the Union and becomes the only official left after an explosion kills everyone there.
