“Once in a while, it’s okay to stop worrying about logins-outs, meetings, conferences, and meetups. Once in a while, traveling towards a new destination with the same people you work with will give you a different angle of theirs as you witness how happy and joyous, they are while being themselves.”
As I write this, I have yet to overcome the memories we Metizians create in our last weekend excursion in Udaipur. No, it’s not an adventurous trip like the last one, but it’s nothing less than a crazy experience this time, either. The unlimited fun, exclusive team bonding, singing, dance, game, bonfire, DJ, and food are all there with some new and old faces.
Let’s begin with the beginning:
When you plan to travel 300 KM, especially with 60 people, you either go for a train or bus, ensuring comfort and reliability. We choose a bus from Khodiyar Travels Pvt Ltd – I must say they are one of the best bus service providers in Ahmedabad after looking at their priorities over cleanliness and comfort measures.

We have already discussed the pickup location with the bus owner, driver, and colleagues. So as planned, it started from Iskon, followed by Ganesh Plaza, CTM, and finally enriched Thakkarbapa Nagar for final pickup.
Finally, from Thakkarbapa Nagar, we started our Journey toward Udaipur. All excited, smiling faces, for a moment, while the bus surpassed the city; it was like another everyday journey.
But once we crossed the city and hit the road, the party storm arrived, and the bus turned into a running pub. We played antakshari and danced until we stopped for a tea break at 3:00 AM at Maruti Nandan Restaurant.
After the tea break, we continue our journey toward Jeevantara Club & Spa Resorts…
Jeevantara Club & Spa Resorts, Udaipur
At sharp 7:30 A.M. (10th Dec), our bus engine stops at Jeevantara Club & Spa Resorts, Udaipur. All tired, sleepy eyes could only get a blurry glimpse of the ecstatic Aravali Hills view surrounded by this resort. Soon we stepped in; we received a warm, welcoming gesture, and the receptionists smilingly handover our allocated room keys.
We got strict instructions regarding the breakfast and lunch timings, so we hurriedly hopped into our rooms and freshened up for breakfast.
They arranged our breakfast in the dining area, where they served varieties of delicious cuisine that smelled good and tasted better.
Game, Photography, and More:
After completing the breakfast, we move ahead toward our favorite photography sessions, followed by some short yet exciting games events.
The photography and game session went up to 12, and then we took a short break where they informed us that the lunch would be ready at 12:30 P.M. and available till 2:00 P.M., so all must be there.
Soon after we finished our lunch, we took a one-hour break and then moved towards the Team bonding events where we, this time, had invited a special Anchor for the same. The Anchor took us by surprise with his skill and humor and managed the entire event smoothly.
There were multiple talent show programs, including dancing, singing, stand-ups, mimicry, etc., which we all participated in and enjoyed till 7:00 P.M. In between that; we took a 15 min tea break at 5:30 P.M. in the Hi-Tea Pool Side.
The hospitality and food were beyond expectations from the Jeevantara Club & Spa Resort, and we thoroughly enjoyed their service.
Minutes after finishing our team bonding events and talent show program, the resort manager informed us that the dinner would be served at 8:00 P.M. and available till 10:00 P.M.
Post-Dinner Scenes:
We all were tired and decided to take dinner early so we could relax and get ready for the post-dinner DJ and bonfire program.
At 10:30 P.M., we started our DJ mess up, where we messed up the dance floor with our crazy, unrecognizable, and weird steps. Gosh, it was crazy and fun at the same time. Once done with our award-winning dancing, we went to the poolside area for the much-awaited bonfire segment.
It was soothing; everyone was tired and just sat by the bonfire. We were done with the activities, so we chilled there for a while, talked about life, and shared different viewpoints. As soon as the clock hit midnight, we greeted each other Good Night and went to our rooms.
Sunday turned out to be the most chilling and thrilling day:
We started our day at the poolside early in the morning and later sat together for a special Sunday breakfast at 8:30 AM. Once finished, we scheduled the city palace tour till 1:00 P.M., where we covered most of the places.
It was a fantastic experience watching the different signs of marvelous architecture and divine Indian culture and heritage. And, of course, no tour is complete without clicking pictures, so we clicked not many but nearly some thousand altogether.
We returned to the resort at 1:00 P.M. and directly entered the dining area for our special Sunday lunch. Once finished, we checked out and gathered in front of the welcome gate for the final Metizsoft picture. At 3:00 P.M, we departed from the resort.
Back to the hustle:
While traveling back to Ahmedabad, I realized that with loved ones, every place becomes your own place, and you will never look at the clock as you often do in your regular days.
Time flies faster than expected, and you are lost in their space, forgetting everything.
It was marked as another important date in all our Metizians’ life when we inched closer to each other than ever. This time, we had some new faces who experienced how Metizsoft takes care of its employees and how their hard work has rewards like this beyond only payslips.
We all were happy and busy sharing pictures with each other during the entire journey. For 30 minutes, we took a tea halt at 5:30 P.M. and then non-stop travel to Ahmedabad. We reached at 10:00 P.M. This way, we wrapped up another year’s excursion like we always do this time with more happy moments and memories to cherish forever.
