First of all, I want to congratulate all the companies and businesses out there for the bespoke solutions they are providing to the world and with their products and services. It’s a pressingly competitive industry and all those who have earned a top ranking across the world are doing commendable.

Also, Mobile App technology is the ultimate king as of now and for a decade down the line. Only the ones who choose the right development partner will survive and stand out. We, at Konstant, will be pleased to take your business to the next level with the top-notch, profitable solutions and services.

Q3. What do you think are the most important things businesses owners should consider when building mobile apps?

  • Finding the right app developer is a prime concern because a great one can turn a basic idea into extraordinary
  • Needless to say, a full-scale app development company will always be an intelligent choice over a freelancer for getting a business app built.
  • Developing a quality mobile app doesn’t come cheap. Quality comes with a price. You have to make an informed decision, ensuring that you aren’t screwed up for a lower or higher costs.
  • Don’t add too many features because it can make your app complex-to-use and lazy-to-load, and users will abandon your app forever because they love simple and interactive.
  • Don’t rush into launch but test your app painstakingly for the quality, smoothness and seamlessness across devices and platforms
  • Listen to user feedback for constructive criticism and suggestions. Do it for the first few downloads and continue the practice as long as you are on the app stores as there is always a scope of improvement and innovation.

Q4. What aspects of app development do you think are most overlooked by inventors and developers? How does this end up impacting consumers?

  • The need of security when it comes to coding for sensitive data management. Though expecting a complete secure enterprise solution may sound unreasonable, still many times, developers skirt around security issues like insecure data storage without any form of encryption especially for apps including digital payments. This will certainly lead to a big customer loss as consumers can’t risk their privacy at any cost.
  • Missing out the app store guidelines. A common mistake most developers make is not following the rules and guidelines by Google Play and Apple app store and thus, facing rejections.
  • Many times, during development, developers forget putting themselves in user’s shoes. Despite having a clear idea and concept in mind, despite having expert knowledge and skills, they fail to understand user behavior and pay no mind to creating an environment that users enjoy exploring.

Q5. Any advice you would like to give companies who are looking to hire a developer for their application?

Through all these years, I’ve seen that clients of today are smart and well-informed for the many things they should consider before approaching us. They come up with various relevant questions before finalizing the deal and have a decent understanding of the latest technologies, which is easy for our developers to make them understand the technicalities.

The only thing that I want to emphasize here is that don’t get into too cheap price. You will have to compromise with the quality and end upgetting nothing out of several months of investment in efforts and dollars. At the same time, it’s important that a reasonable price never means low quality. You don’t have to always trust a company for quality just because they demand a high price. A little wit, research and reading may really save them from falling into the wrong hands.

Q6. Please describe your process of developing a Mobile Application?

Connecting the dots perfectly, our approach towards building a mobile is strategic and emotional because we believe that strategizing is important but with an emotional twist because it’s all about stimulating users. Our development process goes through an integrated, adaptive agile approach from sketching the idea to analysis and prototyping. Once the project is agreed, we move on with UI, UX, development and implementation, beta testing, quality assurance, delivering a perfectly working app. Here’s a full view of our project development methodology https://www.konstantinfo.com/development-methodology.php

Q7. How do you deal with security issues while creating mobile enterprise apps?

Of course, security is as important to us as to our clients and their customers. And we leave no glitches in that. We understand that smartphones are expensive, and malicious worms and viruses can disable them. So, we conduct breach tests. The only way to know if a hacker is penetrable is to testfrom a hacker’s perspective, and we do it so.

For enterprise apps, there are other important measures that we take like encouraging password protection through fingerprint recognition and including the latest updates to keep the app security feature intact. We always encourage clients to invest in cutting-edge technology not the outdated software.

Q8. What are some of the biggest challenges that the developers face while developing mobile apps?

While challenges give our developers a good chance to grow and learn new things, some of the biggest that I guess all the developers face are:

  • Dealing with countless mobile platforms and ensuring that the app works perfectly fine for each one of them because each of the platforms have different limitations of screen sizes, OS requirements, embedded technologies, pixel intensities and alike. And we need to consider the OS well – iOS and Android for the differing UI objects and patterns.
  • Another common challenge is to develop a high-performance, bug-free app that runs on minimum possible battery. Too many images and visual effects or integrated sensors make the app heavy and disrupt the performance on older versions.

But we make sure that the development team sets up a beta version to run test cases to avoid any performance trouble in the final version.

Q9. How do you deal with user experience in cross platform scenarios?

Handling in cross-platform is same as in others. It’s just that we meticulously watch out for the user experience. And as we now haveadvanced JavaScript-based approaches like React Native, NativeScriptthat have given hybrid apps the same look and feel as native, the cross-platform apps we build are never compromised on performance

Q10. Delivery of rich mobile content eats up a lot of bandwidth, any suggestions on how to deal with this situation?

Though there are several technical factors to consider (our developers know them well), the best solution is to use default or native components more rather than custom elements.

Q11. What is the average budget of the mobile apps you develop?

On an average, the cost of developing a mobile app ranges between $15,000 to $40,000. There is this wide range because the type of app you’re aiming to develop, its technical specifications, features and functions will change these figures.

Q12. Which software and tools do you mostly use while developing apps?

The two development environments (IDEs) we use for developing mobile apps include: for iOS: XCode and for Android: Android Studio.

There are different scenario tools like for code push and repository, we use Github, Bitbucket; for deeplinking branch.io; for push notification: firebase, parse and alike.

For a detailed knowledge on what tools we use for various other apps including wearable, hybrid apps, Xamarin apps, you can visit our website:

Q13. What would be your advice to a company that wants to start mobile app development?

What can I say, we’re getting a competitor 😊 Anyway (jokes apart), with my experience, I’d ask you all (the ones who want to start a mobile app development company) to handpick the designers, developers, project managers, business analysts and quality analysts because if you have a passionate, a reliable team, you’ll surely get some great business. Work with top, trending tools and technology but at the same time, be an expert in the key technologies like Java, C++ Swift, JS, CSS, HTML. It’s good to include steps like idea conceptualization, app prototyping, submitting a resource plan and final quality analysis in your project development. And yes, don’t screw up the clients; they come to you with hope, don’t let their confidence shake at any point during project development.

Q14. Which are the top 3 industries in the mobile app markets right now?

The top 3 industries according to me are:

  • Mobile video game: Game successes like Angry Birds, Pokémon Go, Clash of the Clans show a growing wave of free-to-play games on smartphone sand tablets, giving gamers new screens in addition to TV and PC.
  • Retail: No wonder, eCommerce apps have nailed it all over the world- be it fashion, wine, flowers and gifts, cakes, wall décor and furniture, used equipment and everything sellable.
  • Travel: With apps like Airbnb, Citymapper, Tripit, traveling has become a delightful experience delivering geotargeted recommendations and offers to travelers based on location and traveler preference. With mobile, travelers have become much more confident and independent while going to places abroad. Some of the attractions include mobile check-in, mobile booking, local area guides, offers and deals, anticipating traveler needs and more.

Q15. Do you think Augmented Reality apps are the future? Why?

As Facebook introduced its new camera effects platform that will offer unique augmented reality filters and more interactive experience, we can very well foresee VR to be the new windows of reality. Leading multinationals like Apple, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce are releasing some of their devices or apps based on augmented apps. We already know how Pokémon Godid last year- a mobile game that made it seem like the digital creatures have permeated our planet.

Q16. Please share your thoughts on Mobile App Market in next 5 years?

Growing faster than a beanstalk, the global mobile app market has generated skyrocketing revenues in the past five years. As of the first quarter of 2017, mobile applications saw a record number of downloads and revenue.

The next five years will have the numbers doubled. As we talk about millennials being the largest target audience for smartphone companies and app owners, the Gen Z is all prepared to make app industry the most successful in the years to come. Mobile technology will be the gateway to human knowledge, and apps will deliver everything on demand someday.

Q17. What would you consider to be your USP – anything that you’re especially known for?

It’s the team. Nothing is possible without the brains, knowledge and craftsmanship they add to develop the app. Our project managers, developers, designers, business analysts, quality analysts shape up the idea so well with a solution-oriented approach that nothing but the best is delivered at the end. We are ranked among top mobile app developers across the world because of the various other reasons including our agile and strategic project management approach, the way we handle our clients and delight them, the top-notch quality we deliver, the latest technology and tools we are adept in and adherence to timelines and budgets.

Q18. What is the most common thing your customers ask you?

As a development company, the most common question we are always asked is- what’s the best technology for them to build their app. Also, the clients emphasize on providing a cost-effective solution, and fortunately, we always live up to their expectations and offer them the best- be it technology, design, code, price or overall quality.
