Clean A Hacked WP Website with Wordfence & FTP

Restoring a Hacked WP Site With Wordfence and FTP

Watch as I clean a WordPress site containing Malicious Files.
This website uses Wordfence Security, so I used the scanner feature to clean out some of these malicious files.
To complete cleaning the server, I used Filezilla FTP to remove the rest of the malware from various folders and sub-folders on the server.

I also go through the process of checking your WP Users accounts and your Cpanel FTP accounts for unauthorized accounts.

In addition, I show you corrupted .htaccess and wp-config.php files.

Wordpress is a very popular CMS that is powering over one-third of the websites on the internet today.
Because of its popularity, it is also attracting hackers.

That’s why it is imperative that you continuously maintain your WordPress site.
That includes saving copies of your backup.
