Core Web Vitals and Tools

Google Core Web Vitals

Back in May of 2020, I read a blog from “Google Webmaster Central Blog” about Google using a new set of metrics to rank
websites sometime in 2021.
See the article titled: “Evaluating page experience for a better web”, May 28, 2020.

“Today, we’re building on this work and providing an early look at an upcoming Search ranking change that incorporates these page experience metrics. We will introduce a new signal that combines Core Web Vitals with our existing signals for page experience to provide a holistic picture of the quality of a user’s experience on a web page.” [Google Webmaster Central Blog]

I just want to share a simple explanation of the three basic metrics that Google will be implemented in the future.
1) LCP (Largest Contentful Paint)
2) FID (First Input Delay)
3) CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift)

And addition, there are tools that are recommended by Google to test your website for these metrics.

If you want more information on this topic, see the links on the references below.
