If you are looking for a fresh, fun way to do a beautiful, inviting place setting take a look at this Table my friend Connie did for a recent dinner party.  This was a Christmas Gathering, but the plates she used can be used anytime of the year.

I love the gray and cream color scheme and this pretty pattern against this black table cloth.

Notice how she layered the square plate on the round silver charger?

Then she draped this gray napkin elegantly over the dinner plate and topped it with the salad plate.

Love that idea.

Simple, clean, classic.

Since it was a Christmas gathering she placed greenery and these Christmas trees at the center of the table and interspersed these pretty, soft candles.  But, at other times of the year the greenery could be something from your garden with some fresh flowers or potted plants in pretty containers at varying heights to get the same cozy vibe.  Of course the candles add charm with their soft glow anytime.
