I had a surprise when I went into Tesco early this morning to get some milk staff stacking shelves had football shirts on and when I went to the check out Tracey had the best shirt of all. She told me she had a lot of stick wearing her Villa shirt as the store is right in Birmingham City territory, Good natured stick under the circumstances.

Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery is the little 6 year old who captured the heart of the football nation. Bradley was diagnosed with neuroblastoma aged 18 months. Having been in remission following treatment, he relapsed last year and his parents were told in December his illness was terminal. Today was his funeral and one mourner observed that Bradley had opened the world's eyes to childhood cancer.
