I am 3 months behind posting my 365, I take the photo every day but I’m sluggish at uploading. So this image goes back to 12th April 2017 during the binman strike but before the election of the West Midlands Mayor the rubbish was piling up in the streets as the Labour party started ramping up the social media advertising for their candidate Siôn Simon, he was going to do this and he was promising that, a whole raft of appealing goodies. And then I thought Sion is going to do this and that but his Birmingham Labour Party who controlled the council couldn’t get the rubbish collected. I commented on one of the sponsored Facebook ads that its all very well making these promises when the Labour Party can’t run the council so why should we believe him, they are wasting their advertising.

I received a reply to contact Sion, I didn’t bother. The rubbish was immediately collected and I received a reply to a separate email I sent to a local councillor who stated the binman's dispute was because of cut backs from central government, I didn’t bother answering. I think the reason for the wage cuts is because the city council in the past did not pay women workers the same rate as men and after legal action, they have got to pay up which means cost cutting including this dispute and selling many large assets (the NEC).

The voting day for our local mayor passed and the General Election passed and now the bin men have been informed by their union who financially support the Labour party to resume their work to rule. And this photo could have been taken today
