Omega, renowned for its horological creativity, continues to break new ground with the expansion of its Worldtimer collection. The luxury watchmaker has unveiled three new captivating additions to the Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer 2023 series, showcasing innovation in material, colour, and design.

Titanium, recognised for its lightness and corrosion resistance, plays a significant role in Omega’s new offerings. One of the standout features of the latest Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer is its laser-ablated titanium dial, offering a stark contrast with the previously released platinum and steel models from 2017 and 2019.

The titanium model (reference 220.92.43.22.99.001) impresses with a topographic map of the world, as viewed from above the North Pole. The entire black and grey dial, including its colours, is crafted by laser ablation, providing a sense of depth and detail to the design. The unique aesthetic continues with a red hand-applied varnish on the word ‘London’ highlighting Greenwich Mean Time, now known as Universal Time Coordinated (UTC). All the Worldtimer 2023 models offer water resistance up to 15 bar (150 metres / 500 feet) and feature scratch-resistant ceramic bezels. Their 43 mm x 14.1 mm cases, framed by slightly domed hesalite glass, present a 24-hour indication divided into night and day sections, underscoring Omega’s attention to detail and functionality.

Each timepiece in the collection is powered by the self-winding Master Chronometer Calibre 8938. This in-house calibre, visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, offers a 60-hour power reserve and boasts a free sprung-balance with a silicon balance spring. The watch and its movement are tested rigorously by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), ensuring precision, water resistance, and a robust anti-magnetic resistance to fields up to 15,000 gauss.
