I was pleasantly Surprised to stumble upon these pictures.
At first I though it was some international pavilion in the States or Europe, and was surprised to see this pattern there:
It's the pattern used in my home country, Uzbekistan.
After reading the article I realized that the building itself was in Tashkent.
The space reminds me of the Tashkent's subway system. The second most beautiful on the territories of the ex Soviet Union.
The sparkle, the shine, the marble and the gold are definitely very Uzbek. I think that the simple colour choices make it so much more elegant.
