This blogger has diverse thoughts following the extensive coverage given to violent events such as the one chronicled in the mainstream news reports about the incident featured in this article. I've previously commented — Mass shootings are occurring due to the lack of metaphysical / spiritual knowledge along with impressions made by the mainstream media's extensive reporting about these crimes. It is apparent that 'if you conduct a mass shooting, your name will be publicized as the main
story of the day.' This is obviously a way for individuals who feel quotidian to gain an identity of instantaneous 'notability.' The news media's frenzied emphasis of mass killings makes murder the simplest and
fastest way for someone to immediately become 'relevant' in 2023.

"I realized I needed to get the weapon away from him," Brandon Tsay said.
"That's when I turned around and saw that there was an Asian man holding a gun. My first thought was I was going to die here, this is it," Tsay, 26, told ABC News' Robin Roberts during an interview Monday on "Good Morning America."
Tsay, who helps run the dance hall with his family, said the gunman was "looking around the room" as if he was "looking for targets — people to harm."
"He started prepping the weapon and something came over me," Tsay recalled. "I realized I needed to get the weapon away from him. I needed to take this weapon, disarm him or else everybody would have died."
"When I got the courage, I lunged at him with both my hands, grabbed the weapon and we had a struggle," he added. "We struggled into the lobby, trying to get this gun away from each other. He was hitting me across the face, bashing the back of my head."

Tsay said he used his elbows to separate the gun from the suspect during the struggle until, finally, he was able to pull the weapon away and shove the man aside. Tsay said he then pointed the gun at the suspect and shouted: "Get the hell out of here! I'll shoot! Get away! Go!"
"I thought he would run away, but he was just standing there contemplating whether to fight or to run," Tsay recalled. "I really thought I would have to shoot him and he came at me. This is when he turned around and walked out the door, jogged back to his van. I immediately called police with the gun still in my hand."
Tsay did not know it at the time but would later learn that this same man — identified by authorities as 72-year-old Huu Can Tran — had allegedly opened fire at another dance studio in nearby Monterey Park about 20 minutes earlier, killing at least 10 people and wounding 10 others."

The mass shooting at Star Dance Studio in a predominately Asian community of Monterey Park occurred just after 10:20 p.m. local time on Saturday night, during what should have been the most festive day of the year for those of Asian descent. Tran allegedly fled the scene in a white van and drove to Alhambra, where he entered the Lai Lai Ballroom & Studio before being disarmed, according to authorities.
On Sunday, after a daylong manhunt, police located Tran's vehicle along a road in Torrance, about 30 miles southwest of Monterey Park. As police pulled behind the van in a marked patrol car, the vehicle entered a shopping center parking lot. When officers exited their patrol car to approach the van, they heard one gunshot coming from inside the vehicle. The officers found Tran dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the van, which had a stolen license plate, according to authorities.

The Lai Lai Ballroom & Studio's surveillance cameras captured the struggle between Tran and Tsay. Tsay told ABC News that he has bruising all over his body from the incident, including across his nose and the back of his head.
"I was shaking all night. I couldn't believe what happened," he said. "A lot of people have been telling me how much courage I had to confront a situation like this. But you know what courage is? Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the ability to have adversity to fear when fearful events happen such as this.
"In crises like this, the people need courage, especially the victims, their friends, their families," he added. "My heart goes out to everybody involved, especially the people in Star Dance Studio and Monterey Park. I hope they can find the courage and the strength to persevere."

Overnight, Brandon Tsay was a national hero, the personal guest of the president of the United States at the State of the Union, and a new face of hope in a nation struggling with how to deal with a relentless pattern of mass shootings. He’s been the recipient of countless awards and honors, including a Medal of Courage from the Alhambra Police Department.
At numerous events, elected officials have praised that heroism. Strangers come up to shake his hands. Tsay even received an offer to become a deputy sheriff, something he said he has considered but is not pursuing at this point, because it is not the right fit for him.
During an interview on “Good Morning America” on May 26, Tsay received a $10,000 scholarship from GMA and Gold House, a nonprofit dedicated to elevating the societal impact of Asians and Pacific Islanders. Sallie Mae, which offers education loans, added another $20,000 to Tsay’s studies fund.
Tsay is applying to universities, where he plans to go into a major that focuses on human behavior and how it relates to the mass shootings, because he wants to do more for his community, Brenda Tsay said.In the weeks following the shooting, many people have reached out to Tsay with offers of gifts and donations. In response, Tsay and his family have partnered with the Asian Pacific Community Fund to create the Brandon Tsay Hero Fund, which is dedicated to raising mental health awareness and de-stigmatizing the issue within minority groups.

What is tragic is that subjects offering metaphysical, spiritual and cosmological insights to readers are not considered relevant for inclusion among the commercial mainstream news media. This seems to relate to the military thinking currently dominating international relations worldwide in comparison to the moral and humanitarian diplomacy that guided leaders during past epochs. The funding could have been used to meet the challenges threatening the planetary ecosystem instead of inflicting war upon ourselves. Metaphysically knowledgeable people know that 'paperwork principalities' are an illusion and throughout the world 'there is only one country.' To express the social challenges in another way (article) — The escalating number of mass shooting events currently making headlines shows what may result from the lack of spiritual understanding. There are consequences for immoral decisions made during an earthly incarnation when one's ego makes the transition to the ascended realm of human existence. Among the thoughts recently mentioned in journal blog articles — I'm concerned that the news media continuously reporting about 'active shooters' will only impress other spiritually/metaphysically ignorant individuals that this is the only way that they may become 'relevant' in a society with a mainstream news media that too often ignores facts chronicled though the ages about Divine Dispensations/Gifts of 'God.' It is dependent upon our news media to foster enlightenment for any constituents programmed to react with a fear-oriented mentality equating the limiting-of-self (and Self) illusion that may be expressed as 'information conflicting with perceived consensus beliefs engenders expectation of disapproval.' To be spiritually aware is to make decisions reflecting how to best help people in need and contribute to solving the environmental crisis.
