Occurrences involved in my 'paranormal initiation' include working as a movie publicity writer for the Paramount studio in Hollywood, two hillside interludes of inexplicably burning bushes and a research edition to interview a family experiencing 'talking poltergeist' phenomena in Oklahoma. As with the other recent blog post sharing career reflections, this Article includes some unpublished remembrances from the first draft of my autobiography My Unexpected Path of Spiritual Discovery.
It has been a simple truth that the evidence for transcendental communication and other 'paranormal' aspects of life shared in 675+ articles at this blog to-date seem to generate little more than mild interest among readers who've long been conditioned to react in a passive way to life experiences while regularly focusing their attention on entertainment as a traditional cultural pastime. The shared Source of All Life can be learned about in the diverse ways chronicled in blog articles, potentially leading to 'paranormal initiation,' regardless of the mystification that is often reflected in 'paranormal' topics among mainstream commercial media outlets. This sad social conditioning/corporate thinking reflects metaphysically and spiritually ignorant assumed imperatives, as I've repeatedly reminded to help individuals find ways to transcend their sad relationship to 'All That Is' (another common phrase signifying 'The God Force'). If this blogger can overcome the mental programming of having one's attention diverted by the entertainment popular culture, so can everyone. Since I stopped watching television shows in 1995, my involvements were in more useful life experiences.
Interacting with the Divine Mind/Infinite Oneness is something occurring with each living thing whether this is something realized or not by each 'iota' or 'unit' of 'the Holy Spirit'. Considering an individual developing one's perspective of metaphysical aspects of life including 'paranormal phenomena,' one pertinent realization is that contemporary followers of ancient religious scriptures don't have access to actual autobiographical texts unquestionably written by the people who today are known by the venerated individual names associated with 'The God Force' in formal religious traditions, among them Krishna, Buddha and Jesus. My contemporary reporting about interaction with the 'God Force' has seemed at times to be something immediately dismissed by readers who judge this as inconceivable simply for not conforming with usual social consciousness orientations — regardless of myself having shared in a journalistic manner precise details of my experiences for more than 25 years. The gamut of articles at this blog are all evidence of how my consciousness has expanded through with the interaction with a limitless omnipresent Superconscious Force and reporting about my experiences and research as a noncommercial metaphysical author and blogger.
What is documented is a situation where a 'Message bringer,' surrogate/'everyman' or 'pattern demonstrator' is doing what anyone would feel compelled to do upon finding oneself as a 'chosen one' of the omnipresent 'Message Giver.' The social consciousness of the news media today is exemplified by the assorted headlines shown daily at news websites and newspaper front pages of the mainstream commercial news media. (article) Beyond all the incessant political and pro-war news, journalists seem to exploit entertainment and celebrity coverage for readers/consumers accustomed to reacting to mainstream news and entertainment media with a sensibility devoid of the knowledge that metaphysical and spiritual self-development is an essential purpose for one's Earth life experience.
The materialist mindset now seems traditional among journalists after many decades of suppressed and misreported information about 'Divine Dispensations' including Spiritualism manifestations, trance mediumship/channeling, Direct Voice communication, contactee reports about space people, Instrumental Transcommunication and spiritual healing. The denial of The God Force is due to materialist rationales motivated by social consciousness fears involving 'information conflicting with perceived consensus beliefs engenders expectation of disapproval.'
Despite my unique circumstances as a human being, I've never found it difficult to socialize with other people whose metaphysical awareness is less developed than my own. After becoming a metaphysical author in 1997, I eventually worked for 17 years as an office technician for the local school district. My main occupation during this period was working in support of Special Education services. One realization is that most human beings are at intellectual and moral disadvantages due to the inability to find the information—as this blog makes available—that would allow them to achieve understanding and enlightenment relating to 'Divine Dispensations' of 'The God Force' throughout recorded human history.
After the summer of 1995 when my 'paranormal initiation' suddenly accelerated as chronicled in my case study book — Testament (noncommercial online edition), I wondered 'Could there be other people such as myself who were conscious about an angelic Force having begun to interact around oneself through a multitude of circumstances, including such circumstances as synchronicity and my having witnessed patterns of thoughts and words casually spoken by acquaintances as spontaneous expressions of each's personal identity?'
If there were or are other people who experienced a paranormal initiation such as mine that suddenly gained momentum when I was age 39, I’ve never heard or read about them other than perhaps the fragmentary record of the socially prominent 'Jesus of Nazareth' chronology presented in the King James Bible. There was no hesitation to devoting myself to unambiguously sharing with others all the details of my experiences and I didn’t think twice about using my savings to finance the interim needed for writing the case study book. I knew the book could only be appreciated by anyone who should accept the opportunity to read it without potentially allowing negative social consciousness assumptions to keep them from investigating further. Engaging in these activities was my own way of expressing love to the Source of All Life through striving to help other people and reminding them that human should be engaged in improving the Earth's environmental conditions instead of allowing military indoctrination to guide worldwide bureaucracies.
In 1997 after the publication of Testament and a follow-up sequel book exclusively available online that make available hundreds of documentary-style transcripts of my unexpurgated interviews, thoughts and daily conversations, I began researching other paranormal case study books to discover what more could be learned and discern what correlations could be found between the events and those that have occurred in my own life. Testament documents my spontaneous reactions to the bizarre and unique paranormal occurrences that developed. Since 2009 the book and sequel have been followed by blog articles showing successive perspectives to be gained and developed after years of introspection.
Now that I'm 66 years old and dealing with a disabling health condition that doctors haven't been able to remedy, it's easy to see that 'mind over matter' philosophical perspectives are comforts only for the comparatively young and vigorous. I'm reminded about some key lessons about life —
It just is.
Everything is relative.
Earth life is a transitory state of existence.
Innate human creativity and trance channeling/'total takeover' channeling are both states of consciousness involved with our shared Highest Self/selves in the state of omnipresent spiritual Oneness.
Some important reasons for your Earth life are learning about who you are in relationship to other people, life forms and 'The God Force.'
In a book of remembrances about my father compiled by my aunt Esther, she contributed an article that included a description of her twin sister Dorothy’s recovery from ulcerous colitis when they were in their early 20s.
She became bedridden and mother could not take care of her needs. She agreed to be admitted to a hospital that friends of the family had recommended. She was able to walk into the hospital for admittance but, after a couple of weeks in the hospital, she no longer could walk nor even sit up in bed. The physicians and specialists agreed she needed an operation to remove her colon and her womb. They also thought she was too weak to survive the operation. They wanted mother to sign consent papers to release the hospital of all responsibility. Mother did not want to authorize the operation nor sign the consent papers. At that time Dorothy requested and wanted to go home. That evening our next-door neighbor came over to inquire about “the twins,” as she had not seen us recently. Mother broke down in tears while explaining Dorothy’s condition. Our neighbor immediately gave mother the name of a Christian Science Practitioner who had been a Wartime Minister and was in the profession of Christian Science healing. (We had been attending church services and studying Christian Science.) Mother called this Practitioner and he immediately began prayerful support about the situation.
She was taken by ambulance to a rest facility, and later that same day was admitted to Broadview, a Christian Science sanatorium in South Pasadena. In a couple of weeks, Dorothy walked out of Broadview healed. A few weeks later, she regained her weight.
(Dorothy later married and had a little girl and 14 months later a boy and a girl — a testament to her wonderful healing.)
My research into psychic healing acquainted me with the National Spiritualist Association of Churches and I found the Association’s website at https://nsac.org/what-we-believe/healing/. This is the NSAC “Prayer for Spiritual Healing.”
I ask the great unseen healing force
To remove all obstructions from my mind and body
And to restore me to perfect health.
I ask this in all sincerity and honesty
And I will do my part.
I ask this great unseen healing force
To help both present and absent ones
Who are in need of help
And to restore them to perfect health.
I put my trust in the love and power of God.
This philosophy is true in some general ways and these are ideals. There are specific causes and conditions for illness, disease and disability. Renowned spiritual healing facilitators will plainly state that they aren't able to help everyone. In my own situation, when a sudden health crisis occurred seven years ago doctors couldn't determine the cause and their best estimation was that some unknown virus had infected me. I was left with severe IBS conditions that more recently was followed by a variety of other complications. I do my best each day as I attempt to live as healthfully as possible. I remain hopeful about life because I remain convinced that God Is Love and the Power of Good is stronger than the Power of Evil.
As an example of transcendental communication (authentic though provoking a response of exasperation from many people), the following is the perspective of a 'channeled entity' in relation to themselves and human health. These quotations are from Lazaris Interviews, Book I (1998).
First of all, we are not physical, nor have we ever been, though many have asked us where our lifetimes were, or when we were on the planet, suggesting we must have been in Atlantis or Lemuria before. But the answer, always the same is: "No, we have not been physical." We have not been on your Physical Plane at any time of its history — nor, for that matter, on any other planet or system that supports physical life."
We suggest that 100% of illness is emotionally induced. It's no less devastating. We're not saying everybody's a hypocondriac. We didn't say that at all. Every disease has its emotional origin, even if it's a past lifetime emotional origin that you are choosing in this lifetime to deal with (not that you have to, not that anybody's twisting your arm or making you). There is an emotional causation in this lifetime that is causing you to reach into that past and drag that "other-life" influence here. One hundred percent of all illness is emotionally induced.
Added to that are the beliefs, the attitudes, the thoughts and feelings, the choices and decisions about illness. If you believe that a contagious disease is contagious, then it will be.
Though we state these things simply, they do not work simply. Seldom do emotional inducements work singularly. They work in complexes and in intricate matrices with each other. Therefore, that you get angry does not mean you are destined to get cancer. Nor does it mean that if you are hurt it is only a matter of time before your back "gives out." It would also be inappropriate to say, "If I don't believe something is contagious, then it isn't. It's as simple as that." Life need not be difficult, but it is both intimate and intricate. Life and health should not be reduced to "one-liners."
Testament provides a documentary-style account of my personal revelation of how I was initiated to understand the Christ Consciousness omnipresent and simultaneously within each one of us. Lazaris is quoted speaking through Jach in The Sacred Journey: You and Your Higher Self (1987): "The Second Coming is a personal revelation of the Christ Consciousness within . . . As more and more people seek and find, we would suggest, it makes it easier for even more to similarly reach and stretch." In comparison, the King James edition of the Bible as a compilation of the work of numerous contributors and editors includes a quotation of Jesus proclaiming "I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."
When I began working on a more commonplace form of autobiography in July 2004, my intention was to describe the circumstances and events that brought me the awareness of an unlimited, all-knowing Superconsciousness. I also wanted to relate some of the comparable occurrences chronicled in some of the documented cases involving unexplained phenomena that evinced potentialities of the human condition in relation to this Force. The testimonials reveal that there are facets of life that are so far beyond people’s accepted beliefs that they may dismiss the evidence with the assumption that witnesses have materialistic or egotistical motives. Many famous experiencers of paranormal phenomena have shown themselves to consider it of great importance to share their insights with others. Their transformed lives and spiritual values reflect their perspective of what has happened to them.
My heightened spiritual awareness motivated me to become a vegetarian. Prior to my trip to Oklahoma, there had been times when I experienced what seemed like an allergic reaction to meat. At first, I thought it might be beneficial to occasionally include fish in my diet but as I researched further about nutrition I found many experts who advised that one can have a fully balanced diet as a vegan. I refer to the period of my life chronicled in Testament as my 'mad period' because even though I knew I was always sane and normal everything happening around me was continuously beyond my previous conception of what can happen in life. I had to steadily reflect about everything and certain truths became apparent. If someone considers me 'crazy' for reporting all the details, I can only say 'Who wouldn't be?' (in comparison to what may be your life experiences) and not only 'Who could make something like this up?' yet also 'For what reason?' My perceptions about an omnipresent Superconsciousness than can manifest in countless ways are proven again each day of my life as for many years—to offer one example—evolved codes of numerical sequences on license plates glimpsed in traffic each day have become accepted as specific editing instructions for my blog articles. For years, I usually wouldn't publish an article until seeing the specific 'completion' numerical sequence. What you might be convinced is 'crazy' is just my ordinary daily reality of what I know others consider a comparably 'over-the-top' life.
One of the earliest news releases about my book mentions how my Angel Michael research began.
Testament resulted after Bell traveled to Centrahoma, Oklahoma to investigate a talking poltergeist haunting involving Bell/Mc Wethy family members. The family has discussed their interaction with “Michael,” an all-knowing Spirit, on television in “Ghosts, Mediums, Psychics: Put To The Test” and “20/20.” Bell realized this was the Archangel in a chain of events that he says proves God’s existence. In Los Angeles, Bell continued interviewing people who’ve experienced events sometimes labeled ‘supernatural’ or ‘miraculous.’ He also discovered evidence that he lived a previous life in Egypt as Bel-Marduk, otherwise known as Ra the priest.
I referred to A Dictionary of Symbols (1971) by J. E. Cirlot to see what would be offered for some of the meaningful words pertaining to the events experienced.
Bell: Its sound is a symbol of creative power. Since it is in a hanging position, it partakes of the mystic significance of all objects which are suspended between heaven and earth. It is related, by its shape, to the vault and, consequently, to the heavens.
Another entry among Cirlot’s dictionary that fascinated me was ‘Wild Man.’
Wild Man: The image of the Wild Man or savage, covered only with a loin-cloth, or a garment of leaves or skins, is a common one in the folklore of almost every country. It is related to, but not identical with, such mythic beings as the ‘snowman,’ the ogre, giants, etc. In heraldry, the image takes the form of the supporter of an escutcheon, when its significance becomes analogous to that of the animals that normally fulfill this function — that is, they express, by virtue of their bilateral symmetry, the counterbalancing of base forces, while sustaining certain spiritual and sublimating elements (the heraldic symbols themselves). Sometimes one finds Wild Women of similar aspect and similar significance . . .
I obtained an impressive old edition of Reverend John Brown’s A Dictionary of the Bible (revised edition 1866) at an antique store for a few dollars while I was living in Santa Monica. A definition that seemed especially noteworthy was for the word ‘angel’ (from the Latin ‘angelus’) in specifying “a messenger; a name not of nature, but of office.” The dictionary explored various applications of the word in the scriptures.
My research in the realm of cryptozoological mysteries related to what is commonly referred to as ‘Bigfoot’ in our current popular culture eventually led to my discovery of the international interest engendered in the mid-nineteenth century by Julia Pastrana, an individual who has been featured in books by Frederick Drimmer, among the authors who have written about the epoch epitomized by P.T. Barnum. “Wild Woman” was the title in 1989 of my first draft of a screenplay based on what I’d found out about Julia’s life after researching sources found via the National Union Catalog and at the British Museum. A London newspaper advertisement announced:
THE NONDESCRIPT, MISS JULIA PASTRANA.—This young lady, the wonder of the world, supposed by eminent naturalists and Physicians to be a hybrid, wherein the nature of woman predominates over the Ourang-Outangs is very singular; her Nose, Forehead, and entire Face, Shoulders, Arms, &c., are covered with Thick Black Hair. She has no Pupil apparent in the Eye, no Cartilage in the Nose, with double gums in the upper and lower jaw, and only One Row of Front Teeth. The Lower Jaw is much extended, and the angle of the face is very singular. Miss Julia Speaks and Sings in English and Spanish, and dances the Highland Fling, Schottish, &c., &c., and has decidedly the prettiest little Hands, Feet, and Ankles, in London. Levees, from Eleven to One, Three to Five, and Eight to Ten daily, at the Regent galley, 69, Quadrant. Admission 1s. And 2s., Stalls, 3s. Miss Julia is pleased when the Ladies and Gentlemen ask her Questions, and examine her pretty Whiskers, of which she is very proud.
Julia was living with Sinaloa Governor Pedro Sanchez in 1854 prior to being taken to the United States for exhibition. There is significant documentation of Julia’s life, including an account of her attending a military ball in Baltimore. Another anecdote featured her commenting about a judge presiding over a murder trial in Maryland. She was reported to say that "he was a ‘good judge and honest man’ and that she would be willing to have him preside even were she on trial for murder!" — this incident said to prove that "Julia had a mind capable of reflection, and that she has proper notions of human accountability, as well as a true distinction between right and wrong."
In the first weeks following my Oklahoma visit, I considered if a movie based upon my experiences could be beneficial yet soon decided otherwise; however, one of the phone calls that I made in September 1995 resulted with an appointment to pitch a movie project to two producers at a Santa Monica-based production company. I’d originally become acquainted with the company during a news release assignment and was uncertain about how much of my story to present during the meeting yet hurriedly wrote a twelve-page description that I entitled:

When the producers asked me about what the resolution could be for this cinematic version of my life chronicling a paranormal researcher’s interaction with a mysterious supernatural being known as ‘Michael,’ I decided to be faithful to my new conviction that honesty is always the best policy. I remember explaining that upon comprehending that the Entity is in fact the Archangel of the Bible, the protagonist is confronted with the possibility that he is the reincarnation of Jesus Christ.
I left asking the producers to consider “all that money going to waste in all those bank accounts.” Accompanying the treatment that I left were excerpts from the interview transcripts, a copy of the Fortean Times magazine article, and my latest draft of my Julia Pastrana screenplay entitled “Wonder of the World.” The meeting had lasted longer than expected after starting late so when I returned to my car that I’d thought myself fortunate to park on the street just outside the building, there was a ticket on the windshield that had been left and signed by an officer whose last name was ‘Heavens.’
An occasional form of communication I’ve experienced from my manifesting Superconscious Collaborator has involved a most surprising medium — insects. In Testament is described significant occasions when a beetle and wasps were factors; now here are some details about other encounters with these tiny creatures.
When I was attending USC and residing in a small off-campus apartment, there was an incident where bugs did me a favor. I remember I’d brought home a bag of donuts and placed it in the cupboard. There never had been any indication of infestation but upon going to retrieve the donuts I opened the cupboard door and reached in only to fling back my hand reflexively upon sighting literally dozens of huge slimy cockroaches of the ‘flying water bug’ variety amassed upon the sweet-smelling bag. It was the last time I opened that particular cupboard and the incident probably even had a deterring influence upon my having any notion of snacking between meals.
While living in Santa Monica, I started waking up in the middle of the night with a mosquito buzzing in my ear. When it kept happening, I knew some meaning was being conveyed. I came to the conclusion that this was one of Mighael's subtle little clues that something was wrong. After thinking about it, the most likely problem was that it had been confided to me that an acquaintance had hidden monetary assets during divorce proceedings. I’d determined that it was spiritually essential to avoid participating in any type of cover-up but in this particular situation I knew a little about the ex-wife and figured that she already knew what had happened; however, perhaps I was wrong. I managed to obtain the woman's telephone number and was able to inform her about the hidden assets. And that was the last time the mosquitoes woke me up.
Since moving to 'the Valley' of Los Angeles, I’ve made progress with my aversion to bugs. A group of Madagascar hissing cockroaches happened to be living outside my apartment. There was a hole in the screen outside the bathroom window and one evening a horde of the cockroaches came inside. I didn’t notice this until they were all over me. Some of them died when I jumped up and they fell off. Others left from where they entered yet occasionally during the following months I would find one now and then. After this event, I wasn’t so disgusted by them as before because I realized they were indeed harmless. I heard a cockroach hiss one night and that’s how I was able to identify what precise species they were. Although they were so large that they made sounds like what a rat might make when I occasionally awoke late at night to find one scuttling around my room, I learned that some people actually keep the creatures as pets and they are quite clean — at least when making comparisons between so-called ‘vermin.’ One morning I found one of the roaches observing me from atop a medicine cabinet. I was startled and gasped so the alarmed insect frantically leaped to the floor. I realized that the fear expressed by the small being was similar to what might be felt by us humans encountering such a colossal organism.
Crickets have also occasionally found their way inside my apartment. The first time two were noticed inside was soon after my mother mentioned that she would like to see a cricket again. She seemed to have forgotten her wish because she quickly managed to kill the pair upon spotting them in the bathroom. Another time, I tried to use a shoebox to take outside an intrepid cricket only to discover how fragile they are. On another occasion when I discovered two crickets, I decided to see if I could humanely euthanize them. I managed to step on one in the kitchen and later became heartsick when I found the surviving cricket sitting at the same spot, now accompanied by what looked like some type of pillbug. All creatures are deserving of human respect. They share the same ultimate source of Being as we all do.
I once was surprised upon reading about some unusual circumstances involving insects in the published diary of composer/record producer Brian Eno. Upon noticing an unusual book at the Philosophical Research Society bookstore identified on the cover as A Year With Swollen Appendices — Brian Eno’s Diary (1996), I expressed an interest in it and Laura, the bookstore manager, told me that it had been ordered by mistake. The diary was an account of events in Eno’s life during the year 1995 and two incidents involving insects especially fascinated me.
In his 14 February diary entry, Eno wrote:
Went for a bike ride up Kilburn High Road. Saw a lady with her nose smashed in, sitting dazed in a heap of bloody tissues with a policeman nearby. The scene had an African quality about it: the nonchalance of the passers-by contrasted with the woman’s plight.
Like that time at the festival in Ghana when the amputee was attacked by a swarm of bees and, after a few moments’ helpless and hysterical bouncing round on the ground, he just settled down and let them cover him. Everyone was watching and laughing.
From the 23 July diary entry:
Wasps — drank one in the garden of a pub (quickly spat it out before damage), got stung by another (on the foot — very painful), and discovered a third sitting next to me on the train.
My perception of insects was among many aspects of life that altered soon after my Oklahoma experiences. What people have in common with all other organisms is each having a consciousness and individuality but as we are all aspects of a greater Intelligence, together we are all truly One. The channeled entity 'James Allen' through Ryuho Okawa has spoken about symbolism involving the ant.
A man who thinks he is not great and makes an effort, day by day, small efforts, day by day like an ant, becomes great in another world when he passes away.
So, please teach your students or followers to not think of themselves as great or big. Your starting point is very small and your work and efforts are very small. But you can accumulate these deeds, day by day. In the end, a tree will bear a lot of fruits in this world or in the other world. Only God knows the result.
But this is belief. This is faith. Don't examine your success or happiness through the result of this world only. OK? (article)
Something that has changed upon reading transcripts of channeled entities explaining Earth life is my understanding of the calibrated progression that we know as 'time.' In 2001, several days after the September 11 World Trade Center disaster, an article appeared at the rense.com Internet radio website entitled "Did The Collective Unconscious Forsee WTC Catastrophe?" The article was contributed by Noel Murphy in Newfoundland and presented two commercial CD covers having illustrations showing parallels to the disaster. A Time magazine cover was also featured for comparison.
