The Quantum Observer Effect and Artificial Intelligence Chatbots

A New Investigation Produced a Metaphysical Odyssey of Startling Results

On Tuesday and today Wednesday March 28/29 this blogger (Mark Russell Bell) investigated the effectiveness of the current version of AI Chatbots.  Microsoft's Bing Search Chat is "powered by AI" while Bard is described as "An AI experiment from Google."  I was preparing a new blog article and first wanted to see if Bing Search Chat could help me quickly find 'paranormal evidence videos' in articles at this Metaphysical Articles blog website that I may have overlooked for inclusion in a YouTube playlist.  (Click on each of the screenshot images shown below to see a larger magnification.)

I immediately saw an article that doesn't exist was being reported as having been published once during each of four individual months last year (Feb. through May) with a headline incorporating 'The Quantum Observer Effect.'  I know that the word 'quantum' has been used in a variety of blog articles yet couldn't remember if the particular phrase 'quantum observer effect' was used in any of them.

Surprised an article that didn't exist at that time had just been described to me, I contemplated the situation while eating lunch and afterward decided to see in comparison what could be learned through interacting with the new experimental Bard AI chatbot.

Presenting this chat transcript, I'm aware that new readers may form assumptions about myself upon learning about TESTAMENT; however, longtime blog readers are well acquainted that ever since the publication of the book in 1997 I've considered myself a journalist first in the reporting of the unique firsthand experiences in my life.  I mentioned in one blog article — . . . myself as a former professional public relations/publicity professional relinquished this occupation to begin a new life path as a metaphysical author/journalist whom never knowingly volunteered for the task of 'Message bringer of the Message Giver.'  Although I've contacted numerous reporters and consistently distributed news releases, this data remains a topic evidently considered unspeakable among commercial mainstream news media while the conditions of society continue transforming to become ever more grotesque.

I next continued my investigation of Bing search chat.

I then listed my five other blog website addresses asking "Do you have the following websites on your list of resources to inform the users about metaphysical, spiritual and cosmological aspects of Earth life . . . ?"  The response for three of the websites was "I couldn't find any information about this website.  Could you please provide me with more information about it?"  (The three websites are testament.org, mylifewithmichael.org and spiritualdiscovery.info while Bing reported a description of paranormalpeople.net and paranormal encyclopedia.net.)

When I began by submitting an explanation about what the latter of the three websites, Bing accepted this as information about one of the other two websites (testament.org) and then suddenly offered a mistaken description of the second (mylifewithmichael.org) —

Today around 7 a.m. while asking Bing Search Chat "What information can you provide about the websites testament.org, mylifewithmichael.org and spiritualdiscovery.info?" I selected the More Precise 'conversation style.'  The response is shown below with another startling error having resulted.  (The color scheme of Bing Search chat changes with each visit.)

I then informed Bing about the incorrect testament.org description and the statement related to me in response specified: "I will make sure to update my internal knowledge with the information you provided."  I continued my investigation to compare results with what was learned about Google's Bard.

Later this morning I asked some new questions to compare the preceding search results about testament.org.  The results brought the same incorrect results and I noticed that there was also questionable phraseology used with the descriptions offered about the two other websites.  After again alerting Bing to this mistake, a second answer was given describing a different website yet this was also not the correct description for testament.org.  The previous statement "I will make sure to update my internal knowledge with the information you provided" differs from what was given by Bing on this occasion: " . . . I will try to update my sources in the future."  Below are shown the two incorrect descriptions of testament.org that were provided by Bing today.

The online edition of TESTAMENT at testament.org dates back to 1997 so the descriptions offered are especially dismaying to me.  Search results haven't always been so problematic so I can only wonder about the 'algorithm changes' and recently I've made available a blog version of the Internet edition of TESTAMENT at https://www.testament.news.

This afternoon before 3 p.m. I investigated to see what the answers would be in comparison with what previously had been related during Bing Search chats.

I decided to conclude this investigation after having my last meal of the day.  I once again visited the new experimental Google AI Bard chatbot.
