How to add realistic shadow in photoshop in Detail
1.    First you need to select a photo (photo you want to edit). Then go for a new file from where you were and then go for window and create a new layer. After that cut off the object from the main photo. Now fixed the picture in new layer and rename your original file. Then use the eye icon to make your photo background invisible.

2.    Now time to add a unique background behind your object. So, for this first choose your hidden background form layers palette. After that add a new layer and this layer perfrom as a unique background. Now fill the background with color and Select a custom brightness from the Drop-Down Menu if required to add a custom color.

3.    Now resolution your shadow color. So, Select the shadow and fix the color of your cast shadow. Use the Eyedropper Tool and Select the form shadow it will appear as your foreground color, now click on the new foreground twice to get the foreground color box and adjust the brightness.

4.    Time to add photoshop drop shadow. So, select the different object layer click the “FX� option and choose the drop shadow on the dialogue box. Set the shadow color to the foreground color using Drop shadow dialog box and  also adjust the distance, blurriness, spread & size levels. Then click “OK�.

5.    Now add a layer in your drop shadow, Go to the Layer then Layer genre then Add Layer. There you can change the shadows of the object.

6.    Now adjust the realistic shadow color. In your layer palette choose the newly add drop shadow layer and choose Edit - Change - color then draw your drop shadows underneath the floor. After that select the area of your shadow you need to change and use ‘Rectangular Marquee software’. Now edit, change and distort to modify the particular section of the shadow.  Now Use transformation and apply your eraser and paintbrush to solve any sides of your shadows.

7.    Time to add an Alpha- channel, GO to the window then channels and add an Alpha-channel then open Channel Palette and choose a new channel. Now add an gradient within alpha channel, select the a Alpha-1 channel and opt the gradient the software from the palette. Ensure that the background color is white and front-ground color is black. After that click the outer layer of shadow and draw an slop in the particular are of the shadow.

8.    You need to blur the selection go to your channel palette and click top of the channel select your channel color and deselect your alpha channel. To ensure your drop shadow layer go to the layer palette then go to the Filter – Blur - Lens Blur. Make the blur focal distance at “0�and press “OK�.

9.    Now go to the alpha channel and find the darkest part of the gradient (shortcut  shift > control > I) then click the layer mark option and use the mask it’s show the shadow look fade.

10.    Finally you can make sure that the shadow looks perfect and you can your picture is ready for you.
