Along with tracker Stefanie Argow and Dr. Sarah Kiefer of Stadtwildtiere.de, the citizen science project for urban Wildlife by Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (IZW), I designed a quiz with the trails of Berlin wildlife! The game is aimed primarily at children and used for events. The premiere is next weekend at FEZ Berlin!

On the large floor poster, five of Berlin’s wild animals (squirrel, hedgehog, fox, raccoon and wild boar) have left their trails in original size, and on the card you can make your guess! For the floor poster, Steffi and I started with designing the typical gait for each animal (fox trotting, squirrel jumping, etc.), and then let them cross paths on the poster.

Stadtwildtiere.de is a highly interesting project around wildlife in the city, and the Berlin branch can be found at berlin.stadtwildtiere.de. There, you can discover exciting citizen science projects, report wildlife and found tracks, and find some practical tips for a good coexistence between humans and animals!
