The Day AlDub gave me 2k page views

I don't really watch TV but I am aware of the "Kalyeserye". Though I never got really into Dubsmash, I had the chance to watch a few of Maine Mendoza's - a.k.a. Yaya Dub - videos and I thought she was very funny. Alden Richards, on the other hand, seemed like the most underutilized gem of GMA 7 prior to the whole AlDub phenomenon. Nine million Facebook likes and millions of retweets later, they became big noontime stars overnight.

WOW. I'm blown away. And now they've been shooting commercials left and right. The whole craze works! I went to a McDo branch and everyone called it the AlDub Chicken Fillet. What's more surprising is that it was sold out!

The first time I watched "Kalyeserye" on "Eat Bulaga" was on Saturday. I was busy working on my laptop when I heard loud shrieks. I thought there was a party but then I realized it was past 12 noon. Eat Bulaga was on TV so it must be this AlDub phenomenon. So I got curious, I watched that episode. It was the #AlDubTheAbduction episode where they made it look like Yaya Dub and Alden were just about to meet but still didn't. I don't know how long they can keep people interested in this storyline but for now, everyone is just hooked!

So I went on Twitter and posted this:

Guess what, it got 37 retweets and some faves and it was even posted on another blog. And people messaged me telling me how much they love Maine and Alden.

Okay. Fine. #AlDub is official. #AlDub has arrived. Good luck to its rival show "It's Showtime".
