In the gameplay of Pokémon Go, there is a feature called as PokéStop. This feature is usually located on the landmarks of the city or famous places. Pokémon Go trainers are mostly visiting the landmark for items and new Pokémon. After playing the game for a while, I realized that most of the landmarks located near my place are churches. This becomes awkward situation given the fact that I am not a religious person. As it turns out, this situation is not only happens to me, but also many Pokémon Go trainers as well.

It should come as no surprise if most trainers on Pokémon Go are going to the church not for praying. They come to catch new Pokémon for their collection and to get more items. Religious matter has nothing to do with the world of Pokémon. Visiting church while playing this game gives Pokémon Go trainer an unusual experience.

This unique phenomenon is responded differently among Pokémon Go trainers. Many of them are using social media to express their experience during the visit to church. Most of their respond is about a hilarious joke.

There is a big question here. Why the system of Pokémon Go registers too many churches? They might consider that churches are safer area to visit in your neighborhood. The GPS system used by them to scan for landmark spots the building made by man and located near the trainer. It just happens that most trainers are apparently living close to many churches than any other landmarks. According to Niantic, the landmark data of Pokémon Go turns out to be imported from Ingress. It is the previous augmented reality game before the popularity of Pokémon Go.

That being said, I think it is time for me to get prepared and go to visit our lord and savior, Arceus.
