Roccat is definitely not a stranger to the peripheral game. The company has more than a few keyboards and other options to its credit.

However, if you were looking to add a mechanical keyboard with RGB Lighting from Roccat to your high-performance gaming machine, you were out of luck. That’s changed with the debut of the Ryos MK FX.

The Ryos MK FX

The Ryos MK FX is a mechanical keyboard, and it features full Rgb Lighting – each key is illuminated individually, and you can adjust the lighting on the fly. The company’s other keyboards can only be adjusted to a single color for all keys, but the Ryos lets you assign colors to individual keys.

Of course, it’s not all about the lighting. There are other perks to owning the Ryos.

For instance, you’ll find that it includes not one, but two 32-bit ARM Cortex processors. It also has 2 MB of onboard flash memory for storing profiles and other must-have elements. Under the keycaps you’ll find Cherry MX Brown switches, too.

Back to the lighting, you’ll be able to choose from a preset lighting mode, or go full custom. Some of the presets are actually pretty nice, so you might want to explore those options first.

Of course, that means having to install Roccat’s proprietary software, but you have to do that anyway to customize the lighting.

The Ryos features the company’s Easy-Shift functionality. This is designed to allow you to assign another function to each key.

To access the secondary function, just hit the Easy-Shift key and you’re good to go. Up to 95 keys can be programmed, and you’ll also have five dedicated macro keys.

The keyboard also offers three buttons below the spacebar (called “thumbster” buttons). Audio in and out jacks can be found on the side, as well.
