Nixeus Debuts the New Moda Pro with White Keys

Tags: moda pro moda

When it comes to the best gaming PCs on the market, there’s a lot to choose from. That goes for your peripherals, too, particularly keyboards.

However, if you’re looking for something with both style and substance, then the new Nixeus Moda Pro might be a worthy contender for your dollars. It features a full aluminum chassis, as well as white keys.

What else should you know about it?

More Than Your Average Keyboard

There are quite a few appealing characteristics about the new Moda Pro that might make it your keyboard of choice. One of the most important, though, is the fact that the Moda Pro is the next generation of the Moda V2, which has actually seen a price drop with the release of its new sibling.

The new Moda Pro offers a steel backplate, but a chassis made from aluminum. The keys are made from laser engraved ABS plastic.

It’s also very svelte, so if you’re a gamer who appreciates streamlined design, you’ll find it here in scads.

Another difference between the Moda V2 and the Moda Pro is that the new keyboard uses a standard ANSI 104-key layout. The Moda V2 and its predecessor used a different layout.

The keycaps are also interchangeable, and the keyboard ships with a key puller so you can swap them out if you want.

Under those caps, you’ll find either Kailh Brown or Blue switches, but no backlighting of any kind. There’s no RGB lighting here, and even the keys themselves don’t feature basic backlighting, which may be a deal breaker for some users.

The cable measures a full two meters, which is shorter than some gaming keyboards on the market, but should be more than ample for most users. It’s also compatible with both Windows and Mac OSX.

Windows users can turn the N-key rollover feature on or off, but Mac users will need to leave it on at all times.

If the new Moda Pro sounds like the keyboard you want for your build, you can get your mitts on it now. It will set you back around $75.

If you’d prefer to pay a little less for the older Moda V2, it will cost $63, although choosing higher end switches will bump that cost up.
